Student answer (Band 5.0)

Brining all the world together at the same platform through different sports such as football and olympic. Some of them think this is better for nations to bringing together as friends ,but on the other hand , other think that it create competition. In the upcoming pahara i will discuss both views.

On the first hand , sports is the one of the best way to bring closer to other nation. when they represent themself in each field and they play for win and teams participates all around the world and competition is healthy so that they can give there best to win the medal or trophy.

Secondly, it create unbelievable experience when the people from different race present in the same field and represent unity because all have different religion, food, and language even then they have sportsmanship and playing games and making whole world as one nation.on the otherside some time it seen that fans are very aggrasive and offended with with win of there opponent team that make the scene chaosk.

Overall, sports contribute one of the major role to brining all the nation on one table through football , cricket and olympics but some of them thought they its not shows friendship then competition because every team give there best to win and at that moment some fans might be offended even when there team loses the match .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The student attempts to discuss both views regarding international sports events and provides a personal opinion, which aligns with the requirements of the prompt. However, the response is under the required length, containing only 232 words compared to the minimum of 250 words, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. While the introduction outlines the two perspectives, the body paragraphs lack sufficient depth and extended supporting examples. The conclusion summarises the two views and touches upon the writer's stance, but the overall development remains somewhat limited due to the word count deficit. Therefore, this performance fits Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays a basic overall structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, cohesive devices are frequently mechanical, inaccurate, or missing (e.g., 'On the first hand' instead of 'On the one hand', and 'In the upcoming pahara'). Paragraphing is attempted, but transitions between ideas feel abrupt and lack smooth logical progression. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as pronoun use referring back to nations and fans. This level of organisation and cohesion corresponds to a Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, with noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word formation throughout the text (e.g., 'Brining' instead of 'Bringing', 'pahara' instead of 'paragraph', 'aggrasive' instead of 'aggressive', and 'chaosk' instead of 'chaotic'). The student attempts some less common vocabulary items like 'sportsmanship' and 'international sports events', but inaccuracies in collocation and spelling cause some difficulty for the reader at times. This warrants a Band 5.0 for Lexical Resource.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but many complex sentences contain severe structural flaws, run-on clauses, and missing main verbs (e.g., 'when they represent themself in each field and they play for win and teams participates all around the world and competition is healthy so that they can give there best'). Frequent errors in agreement, articles, tense consistency, and punctuation are present throughout the essay and occasionally impede communication. This grammatical control aligns with Band 5.0.
