Student answer (Band 5.5)
Few people believe that the best way to bring countries together by organizing international sports events, such as The Olympics or the Football World Cup. While, others argue that these events create competition, not friendship, between countries. These essay will discuss both views before addresing my opinion.
Firstly, The international games events are good way to bring nations together. The one good reson behind it is friendships bond, it will strengthen the relationship between opposite nations. To explains further, the people may start belive in each other and share emotional value together and solve problems of country. For instance, in the Indian Premier Legue team owner has to form of team from any contries playing woth other teammates, as this give more opportunity to built frienships beetween forin people.
While, other people argue as it leads to posiblities of competition between countries. One effective cuase of these events is violence between public and it can turn into national chaos. To support this, public are to emotinally well attch to the game. So, in case of team loose they can start chos where they burnt governent property and may be voilent enogh to destroy team players house. For instance, in 2011, The india team loose the ODI World cup, the suppoters came into the street and burnt the manic statue of Dhoni who is leading the team. As a result, there is chance of competion.
In my opinion, the idea is good to bring coutries together by arraning such events as it also give lots of opportunities to built frindship beetween nations on geopoltical politics. Well, there always been competion in all industries but the organizers could avoid this by having set of rules to the fair game play.
In conclusion, International sports events could be the good solution to bring all countries together as it offers lots of advantages of understanding team playes and form a good relationship between them. While, there is chnace of voilenge in competion as all team has to win the games.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on international sports events (bringing countries together versus creating competition) and provides a clear personal opinion. The ideas are generally relevant, though some arguments are underdeveloped or lack nuance, such as the example of the Indian Premier League, which is a domestic tournament rather than an international one, and the reference to burning a statue of Dhoni. Despite these slightly tangential or imprecise examples, the student succeeds in presenting a clear position throughout the response and meets the core requirements of the prompt well. This aligns closely with Band 6.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay is divided into a clear introduction, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an overall logical arrangement. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical. For instance, transitional phrases like 'While, others argue' and 'To explains further' are used awkwardly or with minor grammatical slips. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion within paragraphs occasionally lacks smooth progression, causing some abrupt shifts in ideas. Pronoun referencing is also sometimes unclear. These features are characteristic of Band 5.5 to 6.0, fitting comfortably within the Band 6 descriptor.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting some less common collocations such as 'geopolitical politics' and 'fair game play', though some word choices are inaccurate or unnatural (e.g., 'emotional value', 'emotinally well attch', 'chos' for chaos, 'manic' instead of metallic or giant). Spelling errors occur frequently enough to occasionally draw attention (e.g., 'addresing', 'reson', 'belive', 'Legue', 'contries', 'woth', 'forin', 'posiblities', 'cuase', 'emotinally', 'attch', 'loose' instead of lose, 'chos', 'voilent', 'enogh', 'arraning', 'frindship', 'geopoltical', 'competion', 'chnace', 'voilenge', 'playes'). Despite these limitations, the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the intended meaning, placing it at Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the text. There are frequent errors in article usage, prepositional phrases, verb forms, and sentence structure (e.g., 'Few people believe that the best way to bring countries together by organizing...', 'While, others argue...', 'The one good reson behind it is friendships bond...', 'public are to emotinally well attch'). Many complex sentences contain errors that can cause some difficulty for the reader, although the overall meaning usually remains discernible. This performance corresponds to a Band 5.0.
