Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is argued that most humans belive that International games like The Olympics or Football world cup, are a good way to make connection among countries while others says it create competion. In this essay will discuss both sides in detail.
First of the list, International gaming events can make overseas relationships. The reason for this is, when sporters participate events in other countries they can find freinds who has different background and cultures. For instance, one of my sisters who played world Foot ball tournament went to India for that match. She made so many connections with people who lives in different countries. Furthermore, International level sporters can get knowledge from people who have different techniques which are not limited to their own country. To explain more about this, one of my freinds learn new balling techniques which are not familiar to them from a foreign collegues who played cricket with him in Newzeland.
Secondly, Overseas games tend the players to win their country. Since the players need to win the game they all try to make a competition with others who are the battlers play with them. For instance, news paper article which was published in sunday observer in Sri lanka showed that team members in two country were make an argument regarding the match which was held in India. Moreover, team members unlike to share their secret techniques with other teams. The reason for this is always the players wants to win so they hesitate to share their techniques since they have a fear about wheather other will copied those. That is why some people say International games make competion.
To recaptulate my writing, International games may make relationships and connections with teams.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt regarding the cooperative versus competitive nature of international sports, and a personal opinion is partially implied. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies heavily on anecdotal evidence, such as mentioning 'one of my sisters who played world Foot ball tournament'. While the prompt asks for relevant examples from experience, the examples provided are narrow and border on overly personal, which detracts slightly from formal academic or general task conventions. Furthermore, the conclusion is extremely abrupt and fails to restate the writer's opinion. These weaknesses align best with Band 5.5 to 6.0 descriptors. Because the ideas are relevant and all parts of the task are touched upon, the response achieves a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, dividing the introduction, two body paragraphs, and a brief conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is frequently mechanical or unnatural, such as 'First of the list', 'To explain more about this', and 'To recaptulate my writing'. Referencing is also slightly unclear at times, and paragraph transitions feel abrupt. There is a lack of sophisticated logical progression, though the general flow can still be followed by the reader. These features are characteristic of Band 5.5, but since the overall structure is reasonably clear and paragraphing is utilised, a score of 5.5 is appropriate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student displays an adequate vocabulary range for the task, successfully communicating everyday ideas and concepts related to sports and international events. However, there are frequent errors in word choice, collocation, and spelling throughout the text, such as 'belive', 'competion', 'sporters', 'freinds', 'balling', 'collegues', 'Newzeland', and 'wheather'. Less common vocabulary is attempted, but inaccuracies are noticeable and sometimes awkward. Because the errors do not severely impede overall communication and the vocabulary is minimally adequate to discuss the topic, the lexical resource fits the Band 5.5 descriptor.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as conditional and subordinate clauses, as in 'Since the players need to win the game they all try to make a competition'. However, control over grammar and punctuation is weak, with frequent errors including missing articles, incorrect subject-verb agreement ('others says it create', 'players wants'), tense inconsistencies, and run-on sentences. These frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the text from reaching a Band 6.0, as error-free sentences are not in the majority. Therefore, a score of 5.0 is awarded.
