Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the comtemporary era, the debate over sports has become a subject of intense disclosure. While some individuals advocate that International games such as Olympics is a best way to play with multiple countries and develop a good relationship, others content that this leads to a conflict between two countries. In my opinion, although it creates a competition between two countries to win more medals, I firmly believe that playing tournaments with different countries makes the relationship stronger and helps to increase the sport standards.
On the one hand, there are compelling arguments supporting that international sport tournments leads to conflict between the nations. The main reason is that people may take the game seriously and wanted more medals than the others. This leads to a fighting spirit, if their native team doesn't perform or qualify for the finals they start fighting in the fields and using abusive words against thier rivalvaries. As a result, relationship between two nations may turn to conflict, this is the reason some people do not want to play with their neighbour countries.
On the other hand, encouraging international tournaments such as Olympic games presents more convincing argument. The primary justification for this is to improve or establish connections with other countries. For instance, participating in global Football tournament can improve the team play and provide a chance to compete against the best. In contrast to the previous point, when visiting a new country players adapt to their cultures and observe the development process, so that they can help government to suggest their ideas towards the growth of their country.. Consequently, this evidence clearly shows that why it is important to conduct or participate in multi-national championships.
In conclusion, although encouraging sports and national competitions can offer certain benefits, I remain convinced that participation in FIFA world cups and engaging with other nations is superior. This is mainly due to the fact that it can help to build relationship with other countries and can encourage many people to represent themselves in a Olympic games in the upcoming future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that international sports create conflict versus friendship—and presents a clear personal opinion throughout the essay. The introduction outlines your stance, and the conclusion reiterates it effectively. However, some ideas remain slightly under-developed or prone to over-generalization. For instance, in the second body paragraph, the claim that fans or players start 'using abusive words against thier rivalvaries' is presented broadly without much extension or specific contextual support. To reach a higher level, you should explore your arguments with more depth, providing fully elaborated examples and ensuring every supporting point is thoroughly explained rather than stated simply.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
Your essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear structure that follows a standard four-paragraph essay format. You make use of standard cohesive devices and transition signals to guide the reader through your arguments, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately to separate distinct ideas, dedicating one paragraph to the view of conflict, another to the view of unity, and the conclusion to your final verdict. Nevertheless, cohesion can sometimes feel a bit mechanical or repetitive, and referencing within sentences occasionally lacks precision, such as pronoun ambiguity in linking complex ideas. To improve further, focus on integrating cohesive devices more naturally and ensuring seamless logical progression between sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common lexical items such as 'compelling arguments', 'primary justification', and 'multi-national championships'. However, the vocabulary range is limited by noticeable spelling errors, typos, and inappropriate word choices throughout the text. Examples include 'comtemporary' instead of contemporary, 'disclosure' instead of discourse, 'content' instead of contend, and 'rivalvaries' instead of rivalries. These lexical inaccuracies and occasional word-formation errors constrain the precision of your writing. To achieve a higher band, you need to expand your control over less common vocabulary, ensure correct collocations, and eliminate basic spelling mistakes through careful proofreading.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting ambitious structures such as conditional and concessive clauses, like 'In my opinion, although it creates a competition... I firmly believe that...'. While many sentences communicate your meaning successfully, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that persist. Issues include subject-verb agreement errors, such as 'international sport tournments leads', tense inconsistencies, and missing articles or incorrect pluralization, such as 'in a Olympic games'. Although these errors rarely impede communication entirely, they lower the overall accuracy of the writing. To progress, aim for greater control over complex sentence structures and carefully check grammatical agreements and article usage.
