In recent years, the issue on the effect of international sports events on the general public has gained significant attention. Many individuals argue that it contributes to the togetherness of different countries, while others debate that it creates competition between countries and not friendship. In my opinion, I strongly agree with the first view due to the fact that international sports events are essestial tool to ecncourage oneness among nations.
On the one hand, international sports activities encourages cooperation among nations. When countries organize events among themselves it creates room to work together with one another in other to come up with a successful event thereby promoting peace, love and unity among nations. For instance, Nigeria and Ghana which were formally in conflict was able to bring back peace to both nation through the help of international football world cup events. As a result of these the both countries are to do profitable buisness that can promot their nations.
On the other hand, the event can pose a big competition to the countries involed, causing jealiousy among citizen of the losing country. For example, satistics carried out by research students of Oxford university shows that games creates unhealthy competition among individual.
However in my opinion, I believe the advantages of international events are numerious than the drawback, because it creates togetherness and peace among nations.
In conclusion, interattiomal sports event should be encouraged due to the act that it bring countres together, rather than discouraging international sports because of the feel of competition it berings

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on international sports events and providing a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed. For instance, the argument about Nigeria and Ghana is brief and lacks sufficient elaboration to fully support the claim that sports bring peace, while the counter-argument regarding Oxford university statistics is vague and lacks specific detail. The position is stated, but the support for the main arguments tends to be generalized rather than thoroughly explored, placing this aspect of the writing firmly within the relevant middle tier for task response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The text presents an overall coherent arrangement with a clear attempt at a logical structure, utilizing basic paragraphing to separate the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. There is a discernible progression of ideas moving from the intro to the individual views and finally the writer's stance. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty, such as repetitive transitions ('On the one hand', 'On the other hand') and referencing issues like 'the both countries' and 'the event can pose'. Paragraphing is used sufficiently, but overall organizational flow can feel somewhat disjointed due to limited integration of cohesive devices, which aligns with a standard functional level of textual organization.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary suitable for discussing sports and international relations. There are noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form throughout the text, such as 'essestial', 'ecncourage', 'formally' instead of 'formerly', 'nation' instead of 'nations', 'numerious', 'interattiomal', and 'berings'. These errors occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader or require a second look to fully grasp the intended meaning. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary items like 'togetherness' and 'cooperation', persistent inaccuracies in spelling and lexical collocation prevent the vocabulary score from reaching a higher level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay displays a limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside a few attempts at complex forms. These attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, containing errors in subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions inside grammatical patterns. Examples of these frequent errors include 'the issue on the effect', 'international sports activities encourages', 'was able to bring back peace to both nation', and 'games creates unhealthy competition'. Punctuation errors also appear, such as missing spaces after periods and commas. These frequent errors in grammar and mechanics cause occasional difficulty for the reader, reflecting the characteristics of this grammar level.
