Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some individual thinks International sports events like the olympics or the football world cup are bring different nation closer. Despite that other believe these sports meet create rivelry between other countries rather than friendship. In this upcoming eassy i will discuss both views and conclude it with my opinion.
Firstly, sports events like Olympics brings people close. Because, the player for different nations visit oversea which bring opportunity to meet other player. Also, in this event different levels of sports take place in which each country will go through different level to earn the prize. For instance, In olympics many different countries player represent their place stay togther at one place which help them to know about different culture and their technices. This will also promote good bond between player.
On the other hand, some event such as football world cup make competition in nations as individual will support their own countries instead of enjoy the game which create negtive view towards different nation player. For example, In football world cup people of argentaina and portuge will fight with each other due to their player Messi and Ronlado which create riverly between countries rather friendship.
To sum up this eassy, I believe that it depend on individual and player thinking that how they perform and support each in this event. If they show respect towards each other country it help them to make good relationship with other nation. However, if they make negative narrater toward different country player than their nation become competitor in sports.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and give a concluding opinion, so the response is relevant to the question. The first body paragraph explains how athletes meeting at the Olympics may learn about other cultures, while the second describes rivalry among supporters. However, these ideas are brief and not fully developed, and your position is not entirely clear: the conclusion says the outcome depends on individuals, rather than firmly explaining which view you find more convincing. The example about Argentina and Portugal supporters is relevant but needs clearer explanation. The response contains 247 words, so it is three words below the 250-word minimum; the eight words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop each view with a specific explanation and make your own judgement more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “Firstly,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” helps readers follow the discussion, and the ideas generally progress in a logical order. This organisation is a strength. However, some links between sentences are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Because, the player…” is an awkward sentence opening, and “which create rivalry” does not clearly refer to the preceding idea. The conclusion also repeats the general contrast without bringing the discussion together in a precise way. To strengthen cohesion further, connect each example explicitly to the point it supports and use clearer referencing rather than relying repeatedly on “which” and “this.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “international sports events,” “competition,” “friendship,” “culture,” and “relationship.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “negative view” and “promote good bond.” However, the range is limited, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the reader pause: “rivelry,” “togther,” “technices,” and “negitive” are examples. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “make competition in nations” and “negative narrater.” Aim to learn accurate collocations for discussing international relations and sporting events, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the difference between friendly sporting competition and hostility between supporters.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “If they show respect towards each other country…” and a relative clause in “which create rivalry.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “sports events … are bring,” “Olympics brings,” and “different countries player represent,” which show problems with verb forms, agreement, and plural structures. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “Because, the player…” and “in this event different levels of sports take place.” Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and checking each sentence for a complete main clause. Greater accuracy in these basic structures will make your more complex ideas clearer.
