Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some Individuals believe that sports events bring global countries together while some other has different views about it.While thinking of it as sports it brings competition, not friendship between different countries. In my opinion it really depends on the fact that if it is for playing for the country or Nation then sports should be played as competition to win the rivalry.
However, there should be some level of competition but not as much that it will harm the other country spirits and emotionsIn recent worldcup,2026 football the match was played between spain and argentina after spain has won the trophy, the other team members and their fan they started quarelling with them because of the frustation of not wining it.This created the tension between both of the countries.Playing on international level is a good way for bringing countries together and many people from different countries are interacting with eachother and they are presenting their culture and diversity to eachother.Human nature has curiosity by getting people from other nations makes them feel good.
On the contrary,Sports also bring spirit between players, they are friends outside ground. On the groung they should behave good with eachother not to make differences.
In my conclusion International sports federation should Imply policies which should work on making the event cheerful ,aslo making it competitive. The figher fine should be imposed on players who is fighting or trying to disrupt the peaceful envioenment of game.In this way players should be more conecrned about playing in the ground. There should be sports events held every year.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a personal position: you recognise that international events can encourage cultural interaction, while also arguing that competition may create tension. The example of Spain and Argentina is relevant to the risk of rivalry, and your suggestion that federations impose penalties shows an attempt to respond to the issue. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The example is difficult to follow and does not clearly explain how one match affected relations between the countries. The friendship view is also asserted rather than supported, and your opinion shifts between endorsing competition and warning against it. Make your position consistent, explain each view with a clear reason, and use a specific, credible example to support each.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the response moves from an introduction to discussion of competition, then friendship, and finally a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “However,” “On the contrary,” and “In my conclusion” signal changes in direction. Nevertheless, the overall progression is difficult to follow because several ideas are crowded together, especially the long section about the World Cup and cultural exchange. Some links do not accurately show the relationship between ideas; for example, “On the contrary” introduces a related point about friendship rather than a clear contrast. Paragraphing and sentence boundaries are also unclear. Separate the two views into distinct paragraphs, connect each example directly to its point, and use transitions that express the intended relationship.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “competition,” “rivalry,” “diversity,” “policies,” and “peaceful environment.” This gives you a basic range for discussing international sport. However, word choice and collocation errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning hard to interpret. Phrases such as “global countries,” “bring spirit between players,” and “fighter fine” are not natural or precise in this context. There are also spelling errors, including “quarelling,” “frustation,” and “envioenment,” which reduce clarity. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling carefully. Prefer straightforward, precise expressions over ambitious wording that does not fit the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional idea (“if it is for playing for the country”) and a relative clause (“players who is fighting”). However, the range is limited, and complex attempts are often faulty. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “some other has,” “their fan they started,” and “players who is fighting.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also frequently unclear: the opening runs into the next sentence, and the World Cup example contains several clauses without clear separation. These problems can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise forming accurate subject–verb patterns and use full stops to divide long ideas into manageable sentences.
