Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is widely acknowledged that in this modern world some people belives that the international sports activities are beneficial between two countries which brings individuals in one platform, others argue it creates competetion and audience see eachother as a competitor. While this issue has attracted considerable attention, there are differing views regarding its effects. In this essay we will examine the key aspects of this topic and present my perspective.

One major aspect of this activities are that people will know the other countries people's behaviour and tradition and it will be cause of healthy relationship. As a consequence, individuals or societies may experiance the match effects. This situation often leads to long-term effects, when the factor is not properly adressed. For instance, in many countries such as Argentina and Spain have a tough Football match which brings audience in one platform which creates friendship for both inhabitants, it has resulted in noticeable changes in people's lifestyles and priorities.

Another important consideration is that if countries aleady against of eachother like America and Russia so in the sports event audience will be face hateness between them. From a broader perspective, this factor plays crucial role in shaping future outcomes. While some people argue this development is beneficial, others believe it creates additional challanges. Nevertheless, it is clear that it creates competition however its largely depends on the audience that they have anger or love between them which has a significant impact on economic, social, or personal bell-being.

In conclusion, Although these acitvities has both positive and negative implications. This effects largely depends on how it is managed. After considering the main points discussed above, I believe that we should maintain a balance between the competition and personal anger that is the beneficial and relistic approach in the long run.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views: the first body paragraph presents sports as a way to learn about other cultures and build relationships, while the next considers hostility between countries such as America and Russia. Your conclusion also gives a general position in favour of balance. However, the discussion is only partially developed. The examples are asserted rather than explained: the Argentina–Spain match is said to create friendship, but you do not show how this happens or provide a specific event. Your own opinion is also difficult to identify consistently; the introduction promises a perspective, but the conclusion’s call to balance competition and anger does not clearly state whether these events generally unite countries or divide them. Explain each view with a clear example and state your position directly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs addressing opposing views, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also use signposting such as “One major aspect,” “Another important consideration,” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and some linking phrases do not express a clear relationship. For example, “This situation often leads to long-term effects, when the factor is not properly addressed” is disconnected from the point about cultural understanding. The second body paragraph shifts from hostility to broad claims about future outcomes and economic or personal well-being without explaining the links. Use fewer generic transitions and connect each example directly to the claim it supports; clearer referencing would also help readers follow what “this factor” and “these activities” mean.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “international sports activities,” “healthy relationship,” “competition,” and “long-term effects,” and you try to express abstract ideas about social consequences. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate enough to make meaning less clear. Phrases such as “experiance the match effects,” “face hateness,” and “personal bell-being” are difficult to interpret, while “brings individuals in one platform” is not a natural expression. Spelling errors such as “belives,” “competetion,” and “challanges” are also noticeable. Aim for precise, familiar collocations before reaching for abstract wording: for example, explain that spectators may “develop mutual respect” or that rivalry may “intensify national tensions.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure beginning “if countries…” and a contrast introduced by “While.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, articles, sentence construction, and punctuation frequently interrupt the message. For example, “One major aspect of this activities are” has a mismatch between the subject and verb, and “Although these activities has both positive and negative implications” also has incorrect agreement. The sentence beginning “For instance, in many countries such as Argentina and Spain have…” is structurally incomplete, making the example hard to follow. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and separating complete sentences; then add subordinate clauses only when their structure is secure.
