Student answer (Band 5.5)
Sports always bring joy amoung the people, if your country is participating then this joy become excitement and pride moment. Olympics or Football World Cup are one of them. People believe these events bring countries together while other does not agree with this. they belief this event only create competition not freindship. In my opinion International sports event is good way to bring countries together.
Firslty, when two countries taking part in a big international event, Fans start rooting for their countries and start healthy discussion from opposite country about their players and country. For Example, during Fifa World Cup when two teams collides their fans interacts with each other through internet and start to learn not only their about players but also their culture and history of that country also. through which they can learn about each other and sharing their best qualities of the country.
Moreover, During the discussion, people want to meet each other so they can start visit each other country and love to know about their life style and visit their historic places. For instance, surveys suggest that tourism boost in the Fifa World Cup playing countries after the worldcup as people got to know about them after getting to know about these countries.
While we have to consider this also these events also create differences due to competition. Some emotional fans did not want any kind of freindship with openent country. Like in Olympics, people cheerup for their country's athelete and didnt rooting for other atheletes no matter how much effort he make. This will never ends in freindship.
In conclusion, International Sports event like Olympics or Football World Cup, are a good way to bring countires together to spread love and peace and healthy relation between them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state a clear opinion: international sports events are “a good way to bring countries together.” The first two body paragraphs explain how fans may learn about other countries and how events can encourage tourism, while the paragraph beginning “While” recognises that rivalry can discourage friendship. These are relevant reasons and examples. However, the opposing view is less fully developed: the example of fans cheering only for their own athletes shows national loyalty, but does not clearly explain how competition creates conflict between countries. The tourism claim is also broad and supported by an unspecified survey. Develop each side with a more precise example and explain the link between the evidence and your argument. The response meets the task’s length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, supporting paragraphs for the benefits, a paragraph acknowledging competition, and a conclusion. The progression from fan interaction to tourism is understandable, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. This coherent arrangement is a strength. However, some linking is mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is occasionally unclear. For example, “During the discussion, people want to meet each other” moves quickly from online conversations to travel without explaining how one leads to the other. The sentence beginning “While we have to consider this also” is also awkwardly connected to the preceding argument. Use clearer transitions and pronouns with unmistakable references, and make each paragraph’s central point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “rooting,” “competition,” “culture and history,” “tourism,” and “healthy relation.” These choices allow you to discuss both international understanding and rivalry. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-choice, and collocation errors reduce precision, such as “amoung,” “freindship,” “openent,” and “tourism boost.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “pride moment” and “sharing their best qualities of the country.” Aim to learn accurate topic-specific collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, “a sense of pride,” “interact with fans,” and “an increase in tourism” would express your ideas more naturally and precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional opening (“if your country is participating”) and a relative clause (“no matter how much effort he make”). The main ideas are generally understandable, but some grammatical errors occur across the response. Examples include subject–verb agreement in “this joy become” and “Fans … interacts,” missing or incorrect articles in “a good way” and “the Fifa World Cup,” and tense or verb-form problems in “did not want” and “he make.” Sentence boundaries and capitalization are also inconsistent, as in “country also. through which.” Review agreement, articles, and consistent tense, then proofread punctuation. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentence attempts easier to read.
