Student answer (Band 5.0)

advanced country need more activity to keep their country top in the world that is why. they arranged competation between country.many folk thought that olympics or football world cup are good way to bring countries together.others thoughts that it is like burden on mind because of two countries relation.this essay articulated about game and relation between two countries i agree with both side of argument for my inclination elaborated through ensuing paragraphs.

to begin with first view. olympics are opportunity for player to visit another nation more over player should learn countries rules regulation panalties aboud miss happening. Furthermore, people would like to celebration another countries culture and tedition. so that people enjoy more and also increased knowledge about history of past. they can also explore another game and learn about fitness because of activity.for instance if folk know about cricketers past history in detail so player know behind progress lots of struggle hide in individuals life they spend every morning in playing cricket since he is ten years old.

To articulated later view, olympic believe that there are creat compition and jelosis between two countries and player so that all kind of relation spoil like inport and export production become more expensive so that all over the world has start compition and fight for example U S A say i am not interested to give a petrol to INDIA so INDIA start another way and start buying from CANADA so canada and indias relation improved but However, usa opposit with canada and india. in this way when game day every body eager to win and increased reputation of their nation so that it is not good for player because lots of pressure occure from people to win game.

agglomerating all the points describe above but i say that olaympic game is good for every body people should learn culture tredition and also another game its all depends on your behaviour and relation. if you good so world is good.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views: the first paragraph about visiting other nations and learning about their cultures presents a possible unifying effect, while the later paragraph argues that rivalry and pressure can damage relations. Your conclusion also gives a broadly positive view of international sports. However, the position is not consistently clear: “I agree with both side” is not explained, and the final claim that the effect depends on behaviour does not resolve which view you find more convincing. Several supporting points are under-developed or loosely connected to the question, particularly the example about fuel trade between the USA, India and Canada. Explain more directly how a sporting event leads to friendship or conflict, and develop one relevant example for each view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also attempt to guide the discussion with phrases such as “To begin with” and “Furthermore.” However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the discussion moves from athletes learning rules to cultural celebrations and then to a cricket player’s personal history without clearly linking these points. Connectors are sometimes inaccurate or repetitive, including repeated uses of “so that,” and the final paragraph begins “agglomerating all the points” without forming a clear transition. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main claim, then order and link the supporting explanation and example.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “competition,” “culture,” “tradition,” “reputation,” and “pressure,” and you try to express abstract ideas about international relations. However, the range is limited and many spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts of the message difficult to understand, such as “jelosis,” “miss happening,” and “relation spoil.” Some phrases are also imprecise, for example “burden on mind” and “increased knowledge about history of past.” Choose familiar words accurately before attempting more ambitious expressions, and check spelling and natural combinations. More precise terms such as “national rivalry,” “cultural exchange,” and “diplomatic relations” would help you explain the two views clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “when,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and verb forms occur frequently and sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “many folk thought” shifts awkwardly into “others thoughts,” while “all over the world has start compition” has problems with subject–verb agreement and verb form. Several sentences run together, particularly the example beginning “for example U S A say,” so it is unclear where one idea ends and another begins. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them with one clear subordinate clause; check capitalization and punctuation as part of sentence control.
