Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this essay we will cover people`s opinion of Internation Events if they would be helpful making people close to eachother or if it creates distance among the States.
Lets start discussing first of these thought which is making differences because of these competition, people thinks that if 2 different countries playing togather and if one of them won that match the match will not ends but it creates differences among them. The winning country would have the uppur edge and will might have chanting and humaliate the audiance of a lost team and that creates rivalry after the match as well .
The other argumant is opposite of this , it that they thinks that it helps them create good bond beacuase when they play toagtehr they would be able to get a chance to sit and meet people from the other country they understand what they thought about you and at the sme time we get a chance to demonstrate what we origionally are .I was in Qatar in 2021 to witness FIA worldcup 2021 before i went there i have got a different view of the state i was thinking that it was a hard state but when we went there my perspective are totally changed the way they welcomed us , I was amazed to see how they organize best FIFA world cup in the history of that event and give lessons of hospitality and peace. This has changed my lense to completely opposite of how i thought itg would be and how it is in real.
In my opinion, I would always be on the opinion that supports the argumant of peace , because i can see that in many other times as well.India and Pakistan ar ethe art rival in the game of Cricket but the Goverments had been taking initiatives to arrange cricket matches in different times , we call it a cricket diplomacy and believe me it always works. So in my opinion we saould arrange more of these kind of Sports event regularly to melt ice and to create bond among the people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both views and give a clear personal position in favour of international sports events as a way to build peace. The Qatar experience and the India–Pakistan cricket example make your support relevant and personal, and the explanation of how meeting visitors can change perceptions helps develop the friendship argument. The opposing view is also identified through the possibility of humiliation and rivalry after a match. However, that side is less fully explained: it would benefit from a concrete example or a clearer account of how sporting competition can affect relations between countries. Your examples support your opinion, but some claims, such as that cricket diplomacy “always works,” are broad and would be stronger with qualification or explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable progression: it introduces the issue, discusses competition, presents the case for friendship, and ends with your opinion. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and signposts such as “The other argument” and “In my opinion” make the overall direction clear. This gives the essay a coherent arrangement, though some links are mechanical and several sentences contain unclear references or run together. For example, “the match will not ends but it creates differences among them” makes the relationship between the match and its consequences difficult to follow. Use clearer sentence boundaries and refer explicitly to countries, players, or spectators rather than relying on “they” and “them.” More varied, precise transitions would make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “rivalry,” “hospitality,” “cricket diplomacy,” and “melt ice,” and these choices help communicate your main ideas. There is some range beyond basic vocabulary, but inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “Internation Events,” “uppur edge,” “humaliate,” and “origionally”; the phrase “hard state” is also unclear in context. Some expressions are not natural collocations, such as “create differences” and “arrange more of these kind of Sports event.” Check spelling carefully and learn common word partnerships for discussing international relations and sport. More precise phrasing would let your ideas come across with greater ease.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “because” and “when.” This shows some range, and the reader can generally understand your position. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries recur. For instance, “people thinks” should use a plural verb, while “the match will not ends” has an incorrect verb form; “my perspective are totally changed” also has faulty agreement and tense. Several sentences join multiple ideas without clear punctuation, especially in the Qatar example. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected subordinate clause, then check subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
