Sports is the event which bring countries together, builds trust and relationship, make ties stronger. The global events such as the Olympics and Football world Cup are two such events which brings different cultures close to eachother. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a clear overall opinion in the conclusion: international events can strengthen relationships, and isolated incidents should not define them. The examples also relate to the topic, particularly the fan behaviour at a football match and the assistance given to an injured athlete. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The first example focuses on one incident and does not explain how it demonstrates that international events create competition between countries; it mainly describes conflict among fans and players. The Qatar example is also unclear and does not fully show how the event built friendship between nations. Explain each view more directly, and develop your position with clearer reasoning and a more precise example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “To begin with,” “Next,” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. In the first body paragraph, the account moves from fans creating rivalry to players hurting one another, without clearly connecting this incident to competition between countries. The Qatar example also shifts abruptly from welcoming visitors to medical assistance. Some sentence fragments, including “Where players were hurting each other” and “For example, during the Olympic event which was once hosted by Qatar,” interrupt the flow. Make the links between examples and claims explicit, and use complete sentences with clearer referencing.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “sportsmanship,” “rivalry,” “host country,” and “isolated incidents,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at more descriptive language, such as “vibrant cultures” and “opened arms.” However, the range is uneven, and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “the event which bring countries together,” “creates nuisance,” and “turned into battle field.” Spelling errors such as “conutries,” “refree,” and “aunthorities” are noticeable and reduce the accuracy of the writing. Aim for precise, natural combinations of words and check spelling carefully; this will make your ideas easier to understand and give your vocabulary more control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “which” and “after,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, grammatical errors are frequent, and some sentences are incomplete or difficult to process. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent: “these sport events has” and “these events helps” should use plural verb forms. The opening also contains a series of verbs without a clear grammatical structure: “builds trust … make ties stronger.” There are problems with articles and sentence construction in “Where players were hurting each other” and “In one the game.” Review agreement, articles, and how to attach dependent clauses to complete sentences. More accurate control of these basics will make your complex ideas clearer.
