Student answer (Band 5.5)
International sports event have advantages and disadvantages. Few in dividuals consider that organise international sports event such as the olympics and football world have best option. While others are disagree with this statement . I believe that it generally bring countries together because they encourage friendship and cultural exchange which discuss in the following paragraphs.
First and formost reason that, sporting events helps to exchange cultural experience because sports create friendships and improve international relationships. Due to this, athletes and fans learn about different cultures and traditions, and teamwork and respect: Players show respect for opponents and develop sportsmanship.Example, During the Olympics, athletes from many countries live and compete together peacefully.
However, why others say it creates competition between countries because excessive competition can create hostility instead of friendship. That's why people strongly want their country to win.Conflicts between fans, some supporters insult rival teams or get involved in fights.Another reason, political tensionsin matches between rival countries can increase existing disagreements.Example, Football fans sometimes argue or fight after their national team loses.
I belive that organising sports is beneficial to promote culture excahnge but some it may lead the conflicts between countries which increase the chances of competition also break the friendship between other nations players.
In conclusion , although international sports are helpful way to bring countries together which gives them a chance to gain culture experience, but also it may create conflits rather than making friendship between other nations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and state a position: you believe international sports generally bring countries together, while acknowledging that competition can cause conflict. The examples of athletes living and competing peacefully and fans arguing after a loss are relevant. However, the ideas remain brief and general; for instance, the cultural exchange point would be stronger with a specific example of how an event helps people understand another culture. Your final position is also less clear because the conclusion says events may create conflict without restating which effect you consider more important. The response is 10 words below the required minimum, and this limits the space available to develop and support both sides. Explain each view more fully and make your judgement consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. This makes the overall arrangement coherent, and phrases such as “However” help signal a change in viewpoint. Some connections are mechanical or unclear, though. “First and formost reason that” does not lead smoothly into a complete point, while “That's why” and “Another reason” are used without clearly showing how the ideas relate. The opinion paragraph also repeats earlier points rather than advancing the discussion, and the conclusion’s “although … but also” construction makes the relationship between the ideas difficult to follow. Use clearer topic sentences and link each example directly to the claim it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “cultural exchange,” “international relationships,” “sportsmanship,” “hostility,” and “political tensions.” These choices show an attempt to discuss both cooperation and rivalry. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make the writing less precise, such as “football world,” “culture experience,” “excahnge,” and “conflits.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “best option” and “break the friendship.” Aim for accurate collocations and vary repeated words such as “countries,” “friendship,” and “competition.” Proofreading spelling and choosing more precise expressions will make your ideas easier to understand and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a concession in the conclusion. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, articles, sentence formation, and punctuation sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “International sports event have” needs a plural noun and matching verb, while “sporting events helps” has a subject–verb agreement error. “I believe that it generally bring” also has an unclear pronoun reference and incorrect verb form. The opening contains a fragment-like construction, “Few individuals consider that organise…,” and several sentences run together without appropriate spacing or punctuation. Practise building complete sentences and checking agreement and clause structure before adding more complex forms.
