Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is believed by some peole that overseas sports events brings countries together, while other says it not good as it brings the sence of competition; sports events like Olympics and Football World Cup. This essay will diccuss about the competition that brings hate and trolling of international players, however I believes sports unite the countries together under single platform to show their art and skills.
On the one hand, all countries are not economically equal, some are developed and some underdeveloped, competing in same event may leads racisum and hate among the sports persons or a particular nation. This may create tension on nation's border and relations to other nations. Biggest example is cricket match of India and Pakistan, due to bad relationships between these boder sharing nation, it create tension on border area, and ample of hate spreading videos on soical media effects the peace of countries.
On the other hand, international sports events brings countries together and unite them to participate in sports to explicit their nation's talent. That means its give a friendly ambience, regardless of incressing hate rate. Moveover, it brings all people together to support their favourite team, even if they do not belong to the same country or not For instance, Messi, had a worldwild fan following, even though he does not speaks english language and play for this own country.
To conclude, although international sports event bring hate or trolling of other countries, I believe sports is the only platform where sportsman show their talent of nation without any pressure.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and state your opinion: the first body paragraph explains how rivalry may fuel hostility, while the second argues that events unite supporters and showcase national talent. The India–Pakistan cricket example is relevant and helps illustrate the competition side. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The claim that unequal economies may lead to racism is not explained, and the link between border tensions and sporting events needs clearer support. The unity argument also relies mainly on Messi’s popularity, which does not fully show how countries themselves become closer. Develop each point with a clearer explanation and a more directly relevant example, and make your position consistent: the introduction says sports unite countries, but the conclusion focuses on athletes displaying talent.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the discussion. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “That means its give a friendly ambience, regardless of incressing hate rate” does not clearly explain how the previous point leads to this claim. The Messi example is also attached abruptly, and the sentence ending “or not” lacks clear punctuation before the example. Use linking phrases to show cause, contrast, and illustration more precisely, and ensure each paragraph develops one connected line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “competition,” “tension,” “relationships,” “participate,” and “talent,” which makes the subject clear. There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “fan following” and “border sharing nation.” However, inaccurate word choice, spelling, and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make meaning difficult to follow: “explicit their nation's talent” does not express the intended idea, while “hate spreading videos” and “incressing hate rate” are awkward. Several words are misspelled, including “peole,” “diccuss,” “racisum,” and “soical.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning natural word partnerships, such as “showcase national talent,” “spread hateful content,” and “rising hostility.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause with “while” and a conditional structure beginning “although.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur throughout. For example, “sports events brings” should use a plural verb, and “competing in same event may leads” has errors with both the article and verb form. In “it create tension,” the subject–verb agreement is also incorrect. Some sentences are difficult to process because clauses are joined without clear punctuation, particularly the opening sentence. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, then review agreement and verb patterns before adding more complex clauses.
