Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both views: you say international events help people from different countries meet and learn about one another, while competition and losing can make the opposing country unhappy. You also state your opinion clearly: “i believe that international sports event are good way” to bring countries together. However, these points are only briefly stated, and the response does not include a specific example or explain in detail how sporting contact builds friendship or how rivalry damages it. The task requires a discussion of both sides and a supported opinion, so develop each view with a concrete example and explain its significance. The response is also below the required 250 words, leaving the discussion substantially incomplete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic overall sequence: the response introduces the positive view, turns to the negative view with “but,” and ends by restating your opinion. This helps the reader identify the main direction of your answer. However, the ideas are presented in one continuous block rather than clearly organised paragraphs, and several points repeat, especially that people from different countries meet and learn about each other. Connections between ideas are sometimes unclear, as in “in sport in winning a one country so oposite side country are some time not happy this.” Use separate paragraphs for the two views and your opinion, and connect each claim to an explanation or example. More precise linking and referencing would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of relevant words, including “international sports event,” “friendship,” “competition,” and “experience,” so the general topic is recognisable. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and several inaccurate word choices make parts difficult to understand. For example, “compilation” appears to mean competition, while “improve the difference typ of knowledge” does not clearly express the intended idea. There are also frequent spelling errors, such as “thay,” “achive,” and “eachother,” and awkward phrases such as “a good way of bringi country together.” Build a more precise range for discussing international relations and sporting rivalry, and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response mainly uses short, simple statements, with a few attempts to join ideas using “but” and “so.” This gives some basic sentence variety, but control is limited and errors occur throughout, sometimes making the meaning hard to follow. Examples include “international sports event are,” “we are achive,” and “a good way of bringi country together,” which show problems with agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, including the opening “yes” and missing spaces after full stops. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using clauses such as “although” or “because.” Proofread for subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete sentence boundaries.
