Student answer (Band 5.5)
Massive events in any country make the good bond in different countries. However some people says its a good way to bring them together, but other believes it create competition.I believe its good idea for good realtionship.
First catogory, the people thinks that its good way beacuse it strnghten the friendship of one country with another. They started joing other events worldwide and share their culture ,thoughts and playing techniquies.
People who believes its increase competition ,its because when one country win and anotgher one losses the game its create hate and jealosy for opposite nation. That whole country sees them as their enemies and express anger.Lots of people post negetive videos on internet regarding th negetivity rearding the winner country.
In my opinion, its have a postive impact on the different counteris if they play internationally with other countries.Firstly it gives a one country people to visit another nation and perform for there own country. They see the hospitality and warm welcome from another nations. Secondly not only player travel to another country for playing alot of people who loves that game visit there and it give the chance to people make good connections with another nation people. Its also helpfull to booste the economy of the contry who is hosting the games in their stadiums , because alot of people join that from all over the world.
In Conclusion, i would say its have postive and negetive impact on the countries. According to my opinion it create more opportunites for nation to see another people and explore their culture.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear opinion that international events have a positive overall effect. The discussion of competition is relevant: you explain that losing may lead to jealousy and hostile reactions online. You also support your own view with points about travel, cultural contact and benefits for the host economy. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the first view is explained briefly, and the claim that losing creates hatred is broad and would benefit from a specific example or qualification. Your conclusion restates your position but does not add much synthesis. To strengthen the response, explain more fully how shared participation can build understanding, while acknowledging that rivalry may be temporary or limited to sport.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, a paragraph explaining your opinion, and a conclusion. This makes the overall direction understandable. You also use signposts such as “However,” “Firstly,” “Secondly” and “In Conclusion.” At times, though, the progression feels mechanical, and links between ideas are not always clear. For example, the paragraph about your opinion moves from players travelling to spectators visiting and then to economic benefits without explaining how these points connect. Some references, such as “it” and “that,” have unclear antecedents. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting point explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “friendship,” “competition,” “culture,” “hospitality,” “economy” and “connections.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and you attempt some more specific expressions such as “playing techniques” and “host country.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to read, for example “make the good bond,” “express anger,” and “booste the economy.” Repeated use of “country,” “people” and “good” also reduces precision. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling carefully; choosing natural collocations will make your arguments clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional-style explanation of what happens when one country wins and another loses, and sentences beginning “Firstly” and “Secondly.” The main message is generally recoverable, but errors in sentence structure and basic grammar occur often enough to cause difficulty. Examples include “some people says,” “other believes,” “it create competition,” and “its have a positive impact”; these show problems with subject–verb agreement and verb forms. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “its good idea” and the run-on opening sentence. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns, using articles, and separating complete ideas with full stops before adding more complex structures.
