Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is considered that organise international gaming events are the great way to create bonding among different nations, however, others are opposite to this statement. This is a positive development as it enhance good relation with other countries in various ways. This essay will discuss both these views along with my opinion in further paragraphs.
To begin with, several aspects can be seen which demonstrate that international events bring closer to nations as these kinds of occassions give opportunity to people to interact with each other. If individuals confront with others then they come to know about their behave, culture and likes or dislikes. For olympic events players stays in the country for long days then they make tour at different places and they get involve with natives which gives them sense of family members. Moreover, it not only gives chance to players to meet but government also talk and greet them in own nation which takes to the nation at respectful level. It also helpful to increase the import and export system which leads to grow the economy level in both countries. For instance, in recent survey it has been seen that import and export increased 60% as campare to previous time.
However, the fact can not be neglected that this trend also has some remarkable drawbacks. Players can feel under stress and jelous with each other beacuse they look this match as a competition or war. If one team loss this game then this thing can produce sense of hate or negativity among them which becomes the reason of weaken relation between nations. Hence, this point can not be ignored.
In conclusion, although some disadvantages can be observed but it has more potential benefits which enhance the productivity of the countries and this is undeniable.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state a clear preference for the benefits, especially in the opening and conclusion. The discussion of how athletes and officials interact, and how competition may create hostility after a loss, is relevant to the question. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the benefits receive several claims, while the opposing view is explained briefly and mainly through stress, jealousy and possible hatred. Some supporting points, such as the claim that events increase imports and exports by 60%, are presented without a clear source or explanation of how this follows from the event. Develop each view with a specific, plausible example and explain the link to international relations more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting international events, a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “However,” and “In conclusion” make the main stages easy to follow. Within paragraphs, though, ideas sometimes feel listed rather than connected through a clear line of reasoning. For example, the first body paragraph moves from cultural interaction to government greetings and then trade, without explaining how these points relate. Some references are also unclear, as in “this thing” and “which takes to the nation.” Use more precise referencing and build each paragraph around one main idea, with explanation and an example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “bonding,” “competition,” “negativity,” and “import and export,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “international gaming events” does not suit the Olympics or World Cup, “bring closer to nations” is awkward, and “sense of family members” does not express the intended idea clearly. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “occassions,” “jelous,” “beacuse,” and “campare.” Build a more reliable set of topic-specific phrases and check spelling; accurate, natural combinations will make your arguments clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple and longer sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If one team loss this game then…” and clauses introduced by “which.” This shows an attempt to express relationships between ideas, but control is inconsistent. Examples include “it enhance” instead of “it enhances,” “players stays” instead of “players stay,” and “If one team loss” instead of “If one team loses.” Articles and sentence construction also need attention, as in “the great way” and “For olympic events players stays…” Punctuation is sometimes faulty, particularly the missing space after the comma in the opening. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
