Organizing sports events such as Olympics, FIFA- Foofball world cup, IPL- Indian Premere League, has become a subjects of considerable debate in contemporary society. It is believed by some that this international sports festivals bring people together across the globe. Nevertheless, some argue that it creates competition and people become enemies and taking revenge with other countries. In this essay, I will discuss both perspectives and the reason why I believe that international sports bring peace, harmony, and global connection with foreign nations.

One major reason why worldwide athletic tournament build strong bond between countries is that it will brings harmony and sports connection towards other culture. This means any athlate can take participation in the sports event and show their talent, abilities, qualities, skills to the world. This will not only give them fame and name but also provide awareness about different culture, ethics, and values. For example, Kho-Kho is the sports which is orinially played in Inida. This game was recenlty added in Commonwealth games. As a result, numerous Asian countries came to know about this sports and Indian culture.

On the other hand, some people believe that these events create competition and conflict between countries. The people have mindset to win anyhow against particular country. For instance, in the IPL match, all the team from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh were took participation. When any particular team lose against other team then they become enemies and think to take revenge next time. From this perspectives, some people believe that this tournaments significantly increase competetition level between countries.

In conclusion, although global sports events give winning mindset and not making freindship between players, I believe that international matches create strong bond between countries, bring peace and harmony, and allows athlates to show their talents to the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and state a clear preference for the unifying effect of international sport, especially in the introduction and conclusion. The examples of Kho-Kho and the IPL are relevant, and the first helps explain how an event can introduce audiences to another culture. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the claim that athletes’ participation creates harmony is not fully explained, and the IPL example does not clearly establish that losing teams become enemies or seek revenge. The conclusion also introduces a tension by saying events do not make friendship between players while still arguing that they build bonds between countries. Develop each view with a more convincing explanation and make your final position consistent.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “Nevertheless” and “On the other hand” help signal the change in perspective, and examples are placed in the relevant paragraphs. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the link between athletes displaying their abilities and creating harmony needs to be made explicit. Some connections are mechanical or imprecise, including “This means” and “From this perspectives,” and the conclusion’s contrast between friendship and strong bonds is confusing. Use clearer references and explain how each example supports the paragraph’s main point so the argument develops more smoothly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “harmony,” “global connection,” “awareness,” and “competition,” and some choices suit the discussion. However, inaccurate word forms, spelling, and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning harder to follow: “athlate,” “competetion,” “sports connection,” and “take participation” are examples. Several phrases are also unnatural, such as “fame and name” and “take revenge next time.” The opening notes (“Spread harmony= global connection=”) appear to be planning rather than part of a polished essay. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling; for example, use “participate,” “international sporting events,” and “gain recognition” in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including “although” in the conclusion and a relative clause in “Kho-Kho is the sports which…”. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction recur. Examples include “it will brings,” “these international sports festivals bring,” “all the team … were took participation,” and “allows athletes,” where the subject and verb do not agree. The sentence beginning “The people have mindset” also lacks a clear grammatical structure. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them; check subject–verb agreement and use consistent verb forms, such as “teams participated” and “the event allows.”
