Write a letter to the council giving your feedback. In your letter
say which concert you attended
explain why you enjoyed the concert
make suggestions for improving next summer's concerts
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Anna, a local from the city. I am writing to provide you a positive feedback regarding the Summer concert held on 29th June.
I attended the Morgan Wallen concert that was in the evening near the Kmpenfelt Bay. I thoroughly enjoyed this evening because of the exceptional management and care for safety by the team.
First of all, the volunteers there were very humble and were giving everybody a fair chance and time to come near the stage. Additinally the songs played were age appropriate.
After the concert ended, the team systematically organised the meet and greet with the artist. My daughters could handover their gifts for Morgan and get a photo with her.
I would like to give you a suggestion for next year to keep the food stalls near the concert area. It would create a nicer experience to enjoy the concert while having some snacks.
Thank your for your time.
Yours sincerely,
Anna Rone

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requirements: you identify the Morgan Wallen concert and its date, explain your enjoyment through the volunteers’ management, safety, music and meet-and-greet, and suggest placing food stalls near the concert area. These details make the letter relevant and give it a clear positive purpose. Some points, however, are less fully developed than others. For example, “age appropriate” is mentioned without explaining why this mattered, and the food-stall suggestion would be more persuasive if you explained how their current location affected your experience. To strengthen the response, add a little more specific support for the suggestion and clarify any details that could seem inconsistent, such as referring to Morgan as “her.”
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: an opening stating its purpose, paragraphs describing the concert and your experience, a suggestion, and a polite closing. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all” and “After the concert ended” help the reader follow events. The progression is generally logical, though some linking feels mechanical, and the paragraph about the concert combines several points without much development. The transition from the positive feedback to the single suggestion could also be smoother. Use a wider range of natural links, and group related details more deliberately—for instance, describe the performance and atmosphere together, then explain the practical improvement separately. This would make the organisation feel more consistently controlled.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range for the purpose, including positive evaluative language such as “thoroughly enjoyed,” “exceptional management,” and “systematically organised.” The vocabulary communicates your experience clearly, and the tone is appropriately polite. However, some choices are inaccurate or unnatural: “provide you a positive feedback” is an awkward collocation, “humble” does not quite convey that volunteers treated people fairly, and “near the concert area” is less precise than the context allows. There are also spelling errors in “Additinally” and “Thank your.” Aim for more natural collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, “give positive feedback,” “helpful and considerate,” and “close to the stage” would express your meaning more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and more developed sentence forms, including the reason clause in “I thoroughly enjoyed this evening because of…” and the time clause “After the concert ended.” Most sentences are understandable, and errors do not prevent the reader from following your account. Some grammatical inaccuracies remain, however. In “I am writing to provide you a positive feedback,” the verb pattern and article use need correction; “feedback” is uncountable, so write “to give you positive feedback.” The sentence “I would like to give you a suggestion” is also better formed as “make a suggestion.” Review articles, uncountable nouns and verb patterns, and use punctuation consistently after introductory linking words such as “First of all” and “Additionally.”
