Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
I wanted to take this opportunity to share my feedback on free concert held in our society. Firstly, there were three concerts in which I attended two of them. One of these, was a local band performed classi and jazz music simultaneously. I enjoyed it very much especially the vocalist was performing exceptionally well. All refreshment arrangements from snacks to drinks were quite impressive.
Moreover, another one with special dance performance of a recognized artist in the country. I was so excited to watch him performing live. It was my personal favourite and also took selfies after his performance. It was a moment of my life.
However, there was some mismanagement during performances. People were approaching on the stage which made the performers annoyed for sometime. Apart from this, concerts had started quite late, which were an inconcenience for those who live at a certain distance. Therefore, I suggest you to kindly look into these matters, and I hope this will improve for future concerts. Beside these, I would like to appreciate they way you organised all concerts that too without any cost.
Thanking You
Your Faithfully
Tahir

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you identify the music concert and the dance performance, explain your enjoyment through the vocalist, refreshments and live performance, and suggest addressing audience access to the stage and late starts. These details make the feedback relevant and personal. However, the task asks which concert you attended, and the opening says you attended two without clearly naming either event or distinguishing which one is the main focus. The reasons for enjoying the concerts are more specific than the improvement suggestions, which remain fairly general; for example, you could propose barriers or staff to keep people off the stage and a published start time. Clarifying the event and developing practical suggestions would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall progression: it introduces your attendance, describes what you enjoyed, then turns to problems and recommendations. Paragraphing helps separate the positive feedback from the concerns, and linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “However,” and “Therefore” guide the reader through the points. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent overall arrangement and shows some of the stronger control associated with more flexible cohesion. At times, however, the links feel mechanical or the references are unclear. “Another one” does not specify whether you mean another concert or performance, and “Beside these” is an awkward transition into appreciation. Use clearer references and connect each suggestion directly to the problem it addresses to make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “vocalist,” “refreshment arrangements,” “mismanagement,” and “performers,” and the reader can understand your main points. There are also attempts at more expressive language, such as “performing live” and “personal favourite.” However, several word choices, collocations and spelling errors reduce precision: “concert held in our society” is unclear for a concert in a park, “classi” is misspelled, and “an inconcenience” contains a spelling error. Phrases such as “a moment of my life” are also not idiomatic in this context. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling; this would make your vocabulary more effective without needing unnecessarily elaborate words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “which made the performers annoyed” and a reason clause explaining the effect of late starts. The message remains understandable, and some sentences communicate their meaning clearly. However, some grammatical errors appear in verb forms, articles, agreement and sentence construction. For example, “One of these, was a local band performed” combines structures incorrectly; “another one with special dance performance” is not a complete sentence; and “I suggest you to kindly look” uses an incorrect verb pattern. There are also punctuation problems, such as the comma after “these” in the opening description. Review sentence boundaries and verb patterns, and read each sentence aloud to check that it has a complete, correctly formed structure.
