Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
I am highly obliged to written the feedback you ask for the series of free concerts arranged by your council in our local park. I appricate this positive effort and engaging this community with these healthy activites for the people to enjoy and to meet with each other.
I also attended one of the concert of new local band on Friday. They are new emerging teenage band with unique voice and theme. people are amazed by their proformance and appricated them.
I personally enjoyed this concert not only because of they are new, but the arrangments made by council were extra ordinary. Sound system, lighting and food stalls are all upto mark. Arrangments of the event hold the sucess of this event that people love enjoying with full swing.
I would like to give one suggestion for next season, kindly dedicate play area for the kids so parents can also enjoy thes activities. They can allow their childrens to play in that area and can freely enjoy the concerts.
Thank you for asking my feedback.
Sincerly,
Muhammad.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you identify the Friday concert by a new teenage band, explain that you enjoyed the performers and the event arrangements, and suggest a children’s play area for next summer. The positive response to the sound system, lighting and food stalls gives useful supporting detail. This is a relevant, generally clear response, but some ideas are less fully developed than others: for example, you say the band had a “unique voice and theme” without explaining what made its performance distinctive, and the play-area suggestion could be linked more explicitly to how it would improve the event for families. A more consistently developed explanation and a slightly more formal, complete opening would strengthen the letter further.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: an opening, a paragraph about the concert, an explanation of your enjoyment, a suggestion, and a closing. This makes the main points easy to locate, and phrases such as “I also attended” and “I would like to give one suggestion” help signal the progression. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “not only because of they are new, but the arrangements…” does not clearly link the two reasons, while “Arrangements of the event hold the success…” repeats the previous point rather than extending it. Use clearer links between ideas and avoid repeating “event” and “arrangements.” The paragraphing is appropriate, but more precise referencing and smoother transitions would make the progression more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “emerging teenage band,” “sound system,” “lighting,” “food stalls” and “dedicate play area.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and you attempt more expressive language such as “engaging this community.” However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “appricate,” “proformance,” “sucess” and “activites.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “highly obliged to written the feedback,” “unique voice and theme,” and “enjoying with full swing.” Aim for accurate spelling and natural collocations, especially in the opening and when describing the concert. This would make your vocabulary more controlled and easier to read.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the contrast in “not only because… but…” and the suggestion explaining how parents could benefit. The overall meaning is usually understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. Examples include “I am highly obliged to written” (the verb form is incorrect), “one of the concert” (plural form needed), and “because of they are new” (the clause structure is faulty). There are also agreement and article problems in “They are new emerging teenage band” and “people are amazed.” Work on verb patterns after expressions such as “obliged,” articles, plural nouns and subject–verb agreement. More accurate control of these structures, while retaining varied sentences, would improve clarity.
