Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you identify the Taylor Swift concert, explain that you enjoyed attending with friends and family and singing with the performer, and suggest providing more parking. These details make the letter relevant and give the reader a clear sense of your experience. However, some ideas are less fully explained than others. For example, the opening says the concert brought joy and created lasting memories, but does not explain what made the event enjoyable for local residents generally. The parking suggestion is also brief; you could explain how limited spaces affected attendees and propose practical alternatives, such as shuttle buses or clearer parking arrangements. Overall, the main purpose is clear, though developing the feedback more evenly would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response follows a broadly sensible order: it introduces the purpose, names the concert, describes your enjoyment, and ends with a suggestion and thanks. This gives the reader an overall path through the letter. However, the ideas are crowded into long, largely unpunctuated blocks, so the progression is not always easy to follow. The opening combines several points in one sentence, and the shift from the concert experience to the parking problem would be clearer in a separate paragraph. Linking phrases such as “In addition” or “However” could show the relationship between your positive feedback and the one difficulty. Use paragraph breaks for the concert details and the improvement suggestion, and make references such as “this event” more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main experience and feedback, including “autograph,” “selfie,” and “limited number of spots.” These specific details help make the letter personal. However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy, including “movements” where you mean lasting memories, “oppotunity,” and “awsome.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “the concert of the Taylor Swift” and “shave more parking space.” Choose more precise expressions such as “Taylor Swift concert” and “provide additional parking.” Proofreading spelling and checking common collocations would make your meaning clearer and help you express the positive and practical aspects of the event more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to combine ideas using structures such as “not only…but also” and “except,” and the reader can generally understand the main message. However, the response relies heavily on long sentences joined without appropriate punctuation, and there are recurring problems with verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction. For example, “I am writing this letter to gave” should use the infinitive “to give,” while “local people…was” needs a plural verb. The sentence beginning “I attended the concert” also needs clearer clause boundaries and more accurate tense forms. Use shorter, complete sentences alongside occasional complex ones, and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation. This would make the letter easier to read and reduce grammatical errors.
