make suggestions for improving next summer's concerts
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir
Hope this letter finds you in good health.I am writing this letter to give my opinion about the concert organised by you and your team last week.As soon as I heard about three back to back concerts of various singers arranged in the park,I made up my mind to attend the concert of Mickle as he is one of a leading singer of the time and I did so.
The concert was full of energy. All the songs sung by the artist were really pop that made everyone dance. Also the live music played was admirable. One special thing that made it most fantastic was the stage theme and decoration. You really did your best.Such activities are necessary to make people fresh for next working days.
The thing I would like to highlight for next year arrangements was the shortage of space. As the area was over crowded by the people.Try to arrange next the the other local park with more space. Also there were lack of dustbins because of which people were throwing trash all around.
I hope this suggestion will help you for next time.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you identify the concert as Mickle’s, explain that the energetic songs, live music and stage decoration made it enjoyable, and suggest a larger venue and more bins. These details make the letter relevant and give the council usable feedback. The enjoyment is explained more fully than some suggestions: for example, “try to arrange next the other local park” does not clearly specify how the venue should be chosen, and the dustbin point could include a practical solution. The opening and closing are present, but the greeting should match the requested “Dear Sir or Madam,” and “Bes” is incomplete. More precise, fully developed suggestions would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall shape: an opening explains its purpose, the next paragraph describes the concert, and the final paragraph gives improvements. This progression helps the reader follow your feedback, and linking expressions such as “Also” and “because of which” connect related points. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “As the area was over crowded by the people” is a sentence fragment after the preceding statement, while “Try to arrange next the the other local park” interrupts the flow because the wording is difficult to follow. Paragraphing is appropriate, but clearer sentence boundaries and more precise links between each problem and its proposed solution would make the organisation smoother and more controlled.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main points, including “full of energy,” “live music,” “stage theme and decoration,” and “shortage of space.” There are also attempts at more expressive language, such as “admirable” and “make people fresh,” but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural and occasionally make the meaning less clear. For example, “all the songs … were really pop” is not a natural way to describe the music, and “one of a leading singer” has an incorrect word form and collocation. “Back to back concerts” and “over crowded” also need more accurate forms. Build a more reliable range of natural collocations for describing performances, audiences and practical improvements; this will make your meaning more precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including “As soon as I heard …, I made up my mind” and “because of which people were throwing trash all around.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur and reduce accuracy. Examples include the missing article in “one of a leading singer,” the fragment “As the area was over crowded by the people,” and the faulty construction “there were lack of dustbins.” There are also punctuation and sentence-boundary problems, such as the missing space after “health.” and the long opening sentence, which would be clearer if divided. Practise complete clauses, article use and agreement, and check punctuation so that complex sentences remain controlled.
