Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to give review on the free muisc concerts which took place at our local park over the last week from 23rd of october to 26th of october. It was ahuyge success as many people turned out to attend them.
As I am a very big fan of Korean music band, I attended the K-POP Bnad's concert which was held on 23rd october at 5pm in the auditorium of Ronselli park. Inspite of huge crowd, the management was very good. their were ample of seats for audience and everyone felt very comfortable. The lights and airconditioners were all working fine. The arrangement which impressed me most was the the large projector which showed the band's live performance as it was very helpful for the audience who were sitting at the back seats as it was very difficult to get a sight of the stage from there.
Unfortunately, there were some drawbacks too. As there was huge crowd attending the concert which took alot of time, people who were going to buy snacks ended up in waiting in huge queue to grab some food as there were very less stalls. the management failed to arrange more food stalls. In addition to this, there was also less sparking space for the visitors which caused huge trafiic issues. I suggest that this concern will be addressed in the next Summer's concert which will be held in May 2027.
Yours truly,
Nabila.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover all three requested points: you identify the K-pop concert and its date and venue, explain that the seating, cooling and projector made it enjoyable, and suggest addressing food-stall and parking problems. These details make the feedback relevant and give the council useful information. However, the improvement suggestions are less fully developed than the account of the concert: you describe long queues and traffic, but do not specify practical changes such as adding stalls or arranging additional parking or transport. The final reference to a concert in May 2027 is also unclear and does not explain how it relates to next summer’s programme. Developing these recommendations and making the timing clear would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it opens with its purpose, describes the concert experience, then turns to drawbacks and a recommendation before closing. Connectors such as “Unfortunately” and “In addition to this” help signal the shift from positive feedback to problems. The progression is generally easy to follow, and the projector detail is linked to its benefit for people at the back. Some cohesion is less controlled, however: the opening refers to several concerts, while the next paragraph focuses on one, and the final sentence’s reference to May 2027 is not clearly connected to the suggestion. Paragraphing the drawbacks and proposed improvements more distinctly, and using clearer references, would make the organisation more polished.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic vocabulary, including “auditorium,” “projector,” “audience,” “stalls” and “traffic issues,” which helps communicate the concert setting and its problems. Some phrases also convey evaluation, such as “huge success” and “impressed me most.” However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable, including “muisc,” “Bnad,” “ample of seats,” “less sparking space” and “grab some food.” These sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the intended meaning. Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, such as “plenty of seats,” “parking spaces” and “buy food.” This would make your vocabulary more precise and reliable while retaining the useful range already attempted.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple statements and longer sentences with subordinate clauses, for example, “The arrangement which impressed me most was the large projector which showed the band’s live performance.” This shows an attempt to vary sentence structure, and the main message remains understandable. Some grammatical errors persist, however: “their were” should be “there were,” “there were very less stalls” needs a more suitable quantity construction, and “I suggest that this concern will be addressed” has an awkward verb pattern for a recommendation. There are also article and sentence-boundary issues, such as “give review” and the lowercase starts after full stops. Review articles, agreement, verb patterns and punctuation, while keeping complex sentences clear.
