Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to give a feedback about the free concert which organised by the local authorities in the local park.
I have attended the last music event which was organised near to my home in the park. The location was only 15 mintues awy from my home by feet.
I have enjoyed this concert because the singers who were came on this event are my favourite and the decoration was quite good. Moreover, the management of this concert also gave the chance for meet with the singers and I also want to meet with those singers from a very long time. Hence, when I attend the live concert of them, I felt over the moon.
I would appreciate it if the water and washroom fasilities could be improved in the next summer's event because the concert duration was near about 3 to 4 hours and it is very challenging for the individuals to attend the concert without having proper that type of facilities.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback and suggections. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Preet

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you identify the concert as the last music event in the park, explain that you liked the singers and decoration, and suggest improving water and washroom facilities. The reason for your enjoyment is personal and relevant, especially your excitement at meeting singers you had wanted to meet for a long time. However, the concert is not identified specifically by its performers or musical style, and the improvement request would be stronger with a practical detail, such as adding water stations or cleaning more washrooms. The main ideas are clear, but some are less fully developed than others; adding specific details would make the feedback more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: it opens with its purpose, moves to the event and your experience, then gives a suggestion and closes politely. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “Hence” show relationships between ideas. Some connections are less smooth, however. The first paragraph repeats “local” and the second shifts abruptly from the concert to its distance from your home. “Hence” is also not the most natural link between attending the concert and feeling delighted. Use transitions that express the relationship precisely, and connect the location detail more directly to your overall feedback. This would make the progression feel less mechanical and more consistently fluent.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the letter, including relevant terms such as “decoration,” “management,” and “facilities.” The phrase “over the moon” conveys your excitement clearly, and “I would appreciate it if” is an appropriate polite expression for making a request. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, though: “give a feedback,” “chance for meet,” and “by feet” do not sound natural in this context. There are also spelling errors in “mintues,” “awy,” “fasilities,” and “suggections.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, but careful proofreading and more natural combinations would improve precision and control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a relative clause in “the singers who were came on this event” and a conditional request beginning “I would appreciate it if.” The meaning is generally understandable, but some errors in verb forms, articles, prepositions, and sentence boundaries remain. For example, “which organised” needs a passive form such as “which was organised,” while “who were came” should be “who came.” In “I have attended the last music event,” the tense is not well suited to a completed event; “I attended” is more natural. There is also missing spacing after the full stop in “park.The.” Review these patterns and aim for accurate complex sentences as well as simple ones.
