Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three points: you identify the Basant concert, explain that you enjoyed the singers’ performances and the stalls and games, and suggest restricting entry to reduce overcrowding. These details make the letter relevant and give the council useful feedback. However, some parts are less fully developed than others. You mention attending several concerts, but the task asks you to focus on the one you attended, and the reason for enjoying the Basant concert could be explained more specifically. Your improvement suggestion is also unclear: explain who should be admitted and how entry could be managed, rather than saying “avoid other people entry.” A clearer, more precise recommendation would make your response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The letter has a recognisable opening, a sequence of feedback, a suggestion, and a closing, so the reader can identify its general purpose. However, ideas are crowded into one long paragraph, and the progression is difficult to follow, especially where you move from the enjoyable activities to the problem of overcrowding. The repeated use of “concert” and linking phrases such as “That is why” and “So this is the reason” does not always show the relationship between ideas clearly. Divide the letter into paragraphs—for example, the concert and what you enjoyed, followed by the problem and your recommendation. Use clear links such as “However” to introduce the concern and “To prevent this” to connect it to your suggestion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “performance,” “stalls,” “games,” and “rush,” and the reader can generally understand your main points. However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the letter difficult to interpret, such as “famouse singer,” “decurated,” “mass,” and “disterbines.” Some expressions are also unnatural, including “ordinary people” and “ocean” for a crowded event. Choose more precise terms such as “large crowd,” “overcrowding,” and “disturbance,” and check spelling carefully. Using a few accurate phrases for describing the atmosphere and managing attendance would make your feedback clearer and more appropriate for a formal letter.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the main message is usually recoverable. However, errors in sentence boundaries, verb forms, agreement, and articles sometimes make the reader work to understand the meaning. For example, “I hope you are doing well, I am writing” joins two complete clauses with only a comma, while “These concerts series organised this summer” is missing a clear verb construction. There are also agreement and tense problems in “many famouse singer were having” and “I really enjoy this event.” Use full stops to separate ideas, and check that subjects and verbs agree and that past-tense forms are consistent when describing the concert. More accurate control of these patterns would improve clarity.
