Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter for giving feedback about concerts which held in our community park.
Firstly, there were several concerts happened like music, drama, and many more. I attended music show because in that many popular singers came and sung punjabi music which I like the most. Moreover, in the park there were streed food markets in which I ate food with my friends and family members.
Although, everything was good but there are some things which can improve such as there was no scedule for the shows as well as no supply for water during the events. Furthermore, garbage bins were also not there due to which people were throwing garbagae here and there. Resultantly, park was getting polluted.
I would be greatful if you could provide these fesilities in upcoming events.
Yours faithfully,
Navneet.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you identify the music concert, explain that you enjoyed hearing popular Punjabi singers and eating with friends and family, and suggest adding a show schedule, water supplies and rubbish bins. These are relevant details, and the purpose of giving feedback is clear. However, some points are less fully developed: for example, you could say what specifically made the performance enjoyable or explain how a schedule and bins would improve visitors’ experience. The response is also 11 words below the required minimum, so there is limited space to develop these ideas. Add a little more detail while keeping the letter focused.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: an opening, a paragraph about the concert, a paragraph describing problems and suggestions, and an appropriate closing. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “Furthermore” help show how the points relate, and the reader can follow the main message. To move further, make the links between ideas more natural and precise. “Although, everything was good but” combines two contrasting linkers, while “Resultantly” makes the final point sound abrupt. You could instead connect the pollution issue directly to the missing bins and group the enjoyment details and improvement suggestions into more clearly focused paragraphs.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main points, including “popular singers,” “street food markets,” “schedule,” and “garbage bins.” However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations and spelling errors make the letter less natural: “concerts happened,” “sung Punjabi music,” “scedule,” “garbagae,” and “fesilities.” Some errors are noticeable, although the intended meaning is generally recoverable. Aim for more precise expressions suited to a formal feedback letter, and check spelling carefully. For example, describe the event as a “live music performance,” say the singers “performed Punjabi songs,” and refer to “facilities” or “amenities” when making your request.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and more complex forms, including the reason clause “because …” and the relative clause “in which I ate food.” The message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in sentence construction and verb forms. For instance, “I am writing this letter for giving feedback” would be more naturally formed as “I am writing to give feedback,” and “concerts which held” needs a passive verb form, such as “concerts which were held.” In “there were several concerts happened,” the two structures are incorrectly combined. Also, “Although … but” uses competing contrast structures. Practise these patterns and proofread sentence boundaries and punctuation.
