Student answer (Band 6.0)

Dear Sir , I am writing to provide feedback on the concerts you organize recently. First of all i am very thankful that you held it in our local park, so it was very convinent to reach on time without any hassel. Overall, I was very impressed with the high tech music and modern design of the stage. I attended your last one show, and it was a incredible experience.

I attended the havi concert on weekend, It was dramatically amazing. Everything was organized in great way, Djs, back singers and food stalls which completely give the genz vibes.

I really enjoy the concert primarily because it was restricted to young people, which means children and old people was not allowed. I find it very difficult to see children in concerts they just vanish the vibe of such events.

If I had to give you some suggestions for your upcoming concerts, I would definitely opt for organize it in winter and improve the volume it was really harsh and killing the soft touch of your singers performance.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three requested points: you identify the “havi concert,” explain that you enjoyed its organisation and atmosphere, and suggest changing the season and adjusting the volume. Your reasons are relevant, particularly the convenient park location and the performances and food stalls. However, some ideas are not fully developed or are unclear. For example, “restricted to young people” is presented as a reason for enjoyment, but it would help to explain why this arrangement suited the event or whether it should be repeated. The suggestions about holding concerts in winter and reducing the harsh volume also need clearer justification. Develop each point with a specific example or practical detail to make the feedback more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a generally coherent sequence: you introduce your purpose, describe the concert, explain your enjoyment, and then offer suggestions. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and phrases such as “First of all,” “primarily because,” and “If I had to give you some suggestions” guide the reader. However, some connections are abrupt or unclear. The opening mentions the “last one show” before the next paragraph identifies the concert, and the shift from praising the event to saying it was restricted to young people could be linked more smoothly. Some sentences also run together, such as “I attended the havi concert on weekend, It was dramatically amazing.” Use clearer sentence boundaries and more precise references to make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for giving feedback, including “high tech,” “modern design,” “organized,” “food stalls,” and “soft touch.” Some less common or informal expressions, such as “genz vibes” and “harsh,” show an attempt to describe the concert’s atmosphere and sound, but the register is not consistently suitable for a formal letter to the council. There are also inaccurate word choices and collocations: “dramatically amazing” is not a natural description, and “vanish the vibe” does not express your meaning idiomatically. Spelling errors such as “convinent” and “hassel” also reduce accuracy. Choose more precise, conventional wording and check spelling to make your feedback sound clear and appropriately formal.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the explanation beginning “which means” and the conditional phrase “If I had to give you some suggestions.” Meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical and punctuation errors remain. For example, “I attended the havi concert on weekend, It was…” joins two sentences with a comma, while “children and old people was not allowed” has an agreement error. There are also problems with articles and verb forms in “it was a incredible experience” and “I really enjoy the concert.” Capitalisation of “i” and sentence starts is inconsistent. Review subject–verb agreement, articles, tense consistency, and sentence boundaries; these corrections would improve accuracy while preserving your range of structures.
