Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am a resident of the North York area. I am writing this letter to provide you a feedback about the concerts that you organised in the recreation centre last week.
Firstly,I really appreciate your affords and time for hosting the great event.Although, there were series of concerts by well known artists and singers, I was able to attain one musical night by famous singer Arigit Singh.
I went there with my friends and cousins. I have to say, that night was spectacular, memorable and one of the best night for us.We enojoyed a lot and we danced as well. His voice is really good and he sang all of the popular hindi songs.
Everything was perfect. However, we had to wait at least 20 minutes for parking which was bit inconvenience for us.I suggest, for next time you should make parking facility more accessable and big.In my opinion,it would be appropriate if you take payment for that.
Thank you so much for your kind attention and great service.
Yours Sincearly,
Pavan Patel.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover all three requested points: you identify the concert as Arijit Singh’s performance, explain that you enjoyed his singing and dancing with friends and cousins, and suggest improving parking. The positive reaction is clear, and the parking delay gives a relevant reason for your suggestion. However, some points are less fully developed than others. The enjoyment section relies mainly on general praise such as “spectacular” and “one of the best,” while the improvement proposal—making parking “more accessible and big” and charging for it—would benefit from clearer explanation. You could also identify the concert more precisely and explain how paid parking would improve access or organisation. Overall, the letter fulfils the task, but some ideas need more specific support and clarification.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall sequence: an opening purpose, details about the concert, your reaction, a concern and suggestion, and a polite closing. Paragraph breaks help separate these stages, and transitions such as “Firstly” and “However” make the main shifts easy to follow. This gives the response a coherent structure. To make the progression more natural and flexible, avoid relying on formulaic transitions and connect related details more smoothly—for example, link the parking delay directly to your proposed solution. Some sentences are also crowded together, particularly in the concert paragraph, which makes the flow less polished. Clearer sentence boundaries and more deliberate paragraphing would strengthen the organisation further.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant vocabulary to express appreciation and describe the event, including “spectacular,” “memorable,” and “popular Hindi songs.” The reader can understand your main message, and you attempt more specific language when discussing parking. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “affords” for “efforts,” “attain” for “attend,” “enojoyed,” “accessable,” and “Sincearly.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “provide you a feedback” and “big” for a parking facility. Aim to check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for formal letters. More precise wording would help your positive comments and practical suggestion sound natural and professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple sentences and some more complex forms, such as “Although there were a series of concerts…, I was able to attend one” and “However, we had to wait…”. The message remains understandable, but some grammatical and punctuation errors are present. For example, “provide you a feedback” has an article problem, “one of the best night” needs plural agreement, and “which was bit inconvenience” needs an article and a suitable noun phrase. Commas are also misplaced or missing around sentence openings and clauses, as in “Firstly,I” and “I have to say, that night”. Review articles, singular/plural agreement, and punctuation, then proofread each sentence. This will make your varied sentence forms more consistently accurate.
