Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover the three requested points: you identify the Sunday concert, explain that you enjoyed the music and the food stalls, and suggest a larger venue and security for future events. These details make the letter relevant, but the reasons for your enjoyment and the proposed improvements are only briefly explained. For example, you mention listening to the artist’s songs and speech without saying what you particularly liked, and you do not explain how a larger ground or security would improve the experience. The opening and closing are also not fully suited to a formal letter: “Dear sir or madam” should use standard capitalisation, and “your faithful” is not the appropriate sign-off. Develop each point with a little more specific explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable letter structure, moving from the purpose of writing to the concert experience and then to suggestions. The sequence is generally understandable, and phrases such as “I attended” and “I have some suggestions” help signal the topic changes. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the details about the friend, five days of performances, and the Sunday event are not linked smoothly, while the final suggestion is introduced abruptly. Some connections are also difficult to follow, particularly “that was last show of this summer.” Use clearer paragraphing for the concert attended, your reasons for enjoying it, and your recommendations, and connect each detail explicitly to the main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “free concerts,” “artist,” “food and drink stalls,” and “public protection.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “over crowded” and “organised by sponsors.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “suggested about,” “council member,” “listen that artist songs,” and “consider by suggestions.” Spelling and capitalisation also need attention in words such as “sponsors,” “Sunday,” and “every day.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the general message, but they make the letter less natural. Aim for precise phrases such as “the council,” “listen to the artist’s songs,” and “consider my suggestions.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, for example, “I attended last live concert on sunday because i would like to listen that artist songs.” However, control of sentence structure and verb forms is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to interpret. Examples include “I was enjoyed a lot,” “there is food and drink stalls were organised,” and “if they will arrange this kind of events than please choose.” Articles, agreement, tense, and sentence boundaries also need more consistent control. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clear clauses using “because” or “so.” For instance: “I enjoyed the concert because the artist performed several songs I like.”
