Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.0)
1- Rap concert by different artist
2- I enjoyed it because of suprise entry
3- arrangements
Dear Sir or Madam,
I hope you are doing well.
I am writing this to give my honest review on the concert organized on 23rd july. I am regreting for not making time to attend the other concerts.
The concert for which I am writing this feedback letter was named 'Vocal Rap'. I enjoyed it as I am a huge fan of rap songs. The artists invited were energetic and they really played it well. Lighting made me dance, the way it was syncing with beats was awesome. However, the most iconic moment was when the spoiler revealed and Mr. Mickelmore came onto the stage. Being his fan, that was the jaw dropping moment for me.
The concert was really good. However, It would be more better if the crowd managed properly. It is totally expected from the crowd to go wild in concert like this. But, their should be someone to manage them as on the entry of Mr. Micklemore, I saw people falling on one another.
Thank you for organising such a wonderful event.
Kind regards,
Owais Ansari

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you identify the “Vocal Rap” concert, explain your enjoyment through your interest in rap, the performers, lighting and the surprise guest, and suggest better crowd management. These details make the feedback relevant and give the reader a clear sense of your experience. The strongest development is the description of Mr. Mickelmore’s appearance; the improvement suggestion is less fully explained, though the example of people falling over one another shows why it matters. To make the response more complete, specify practical measures, such as stewards at entrances or barriers near the stage, and clarify the guest’s name consistently. The polite opening and closing suit a letter to the council.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The letter has a recognisable structure, with an opening, a paragraph about the concert and a final paragraph about crowd management. The ideas generally follow a sensible order, and “However” helps signal the shift from praise to criticism. However, progression is weakened by the numbered notes before the salutation, which do not belong in the finished letter, and by repeating that the concert was good before introducing the suggestion. Some references are also unclear: “the spoiler” does not clearly identify the surprise guest, and “their” in the crowd paragraph is difficult to connect to a specific group. Remove the notes, use clearer references, and link the suggestion directly to the incident to make the letter flow more smoothly.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary to describe the event and your reaction, including “energetic,” “syncing with beats,” “iconic moment” and “jaw dropping moment.” These choices help convey enthusiasm, and the meaning is generally clear. Some expressions are imprecise or informal for feedback to a council: “spoiler revealed” does not naturally describe a surprise guest, while “played it well” and “really good” are broad. There are also spelling errors in names and words, including “suprise,” “regreting” and inconsistent spellings of Mickelmore/Micklemore. Choose more precise event-related phrases, such as “the surprise guest was revealed” and “the performers delivered an engaging set,” and check spelling and names carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, for example, “I enjoyed it as I am a huge fan of rap songs” and the sentence beginning “However, the most iconic moment was when…”. Most of the message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors and punctuation choices reduce accuracy. Examples include “It would be more better,” where the comparative is incorrectly formed, and “their should be someone,” where the sentence needs “there.” In “I am regreting for not making time,” the verb pattern is not well controlled. Capitalisation after “However” is inconsistent, and the long sentence about the guest could be punctuated more clearly. Review comparatives, there/their, and verb patterns, then proofread sentence boundaries.
