Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You cover all three requested points: you identify the Wiz Khalifa concert, explain your personal enjoyment through your connection to his music, and suggest food and drink stalls, recycling bins, and seating. These details make the response relevant and give the reader a clear sense of your experience. However, the reasons for enjoying the event are mostly asserted rather than developed: explain, for example, what made the live performance or park setting enjoyable. The improvement ideas are also brief and the request for “3 types of trashcan” is not explained. The informal greeting and conversational style are not well suited to a letter to the council. Develop each point more clearly and use a consistently appropriate tone.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a generally understandable sequence: it introduces the concert, describes why you enjoyed it, and then moves to suggestions. The paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and words such as “because” and “But” signal relationships between ideas. However, the first paragraph contains several details in one long sentence, while the final paragraph combines multiple suggestions and a closing thought without clear separation. Some links are also repetitive or unclear, as in “my friends are enjoying too they enjoy.” Use shorter, more controlled sentences and give each main purpose its own paragraph. A conventional opening and closing would also make the letter’s overall organisation clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “rap artist,” “concert,” “album,” “food and beverage stall,” and “trashcan.” The personal references to a favourite song help make the account specific. However, the range is limited and several choices or forms are inaccurate or informal, such as “celebrity idol,” “3types of trashcan,” and “a chair for the audiance.” Repeated use of “concert,” “enjoy,” and “song” also makes the wording less varied. Choose more precise expressions for facilities and audience needs, and check spelling and word forms. A more formal vocabulary choice would suit a letter to the council better.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate the basic message using simple statements and some attempts to connect ideas, for example, “I enjoyed the concert last night because…” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the letter difficult to follow. Examples include “I attended to,” “he rap’s the song,” “I used to listened,” and “it must has be a chair.” There are also problems with capitalisation and sentence boundaries, particularly where several clauses run together. Practise past-tense forms and verb patterns, such as “I attended” and “I used to listen,” and separate complete ideas with full stops. More accurate sentence control would make your meaning clearer.
