Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my experience at a series of free concerts which was organized by local council at our local park this summer. I, particularly attended Honey Singh's concert, because I am huge fan.
The performance was outstanding and the crowd was more energetic when he appeared on the stage. Apart from this, the sound system was wonderful and every beats of the music create more energy. Even though I directly came from work, I stood in the front of the stage where I cab enjoy the live performance.
Unfortunately, there are certain aspects to keep in our mind for the next year, because free concerts lead to a significant number of audiences. This is extremely hard to manage the crowd, when the well-known artist come on stage to perform. Moreover, a nominal charge for the concert tickets would be better to cover extra costs such as, putting more security guards and maintain cleanliness.
Thanks for organizing this event and also consideration my feedback. I would be glad if this would help you in the future.
Yours sincerely,
Patel

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three requirements: you identify Honey Singh’s concert, explain that you enjoyed the performance, energetic crowd and sound system, and suggest crowd management, security and cleanliness improvements. The reasons for your positive response are relevant and supported with details, such as arriving from work and standing near the stage. Your suggestions are also connected to the large audiences attracted by popular performers. To make the feedback more fully developed, explain more specifically how the council could manage the crowd—for example, by creating entry queues or designated viewing areas. Also clarify whether charging a small fee is your main recommendation or one option, since the concerts are described as free.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear progression from its purpose, to your experience, to suggestions and a closing, with separate paragraphs helping the reader follow each stage. Linking expressions such as “Apart from this,” “Even though,” and “Moreover” show an effort to connect ideas and vary transitions. The overall message remains easy to follow. Some connections are less smooth: “Unfortunately” introduces the improvement points, but the following explanation about managing crowds could be linked more directly to your proposed solutions. The opening also repeats the idea of the local park and concerts. For stronger cohesion, use more precise references and make each transition show the relationship between the problem and the recommendation.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range for the topic, including relevant expressions such as “outstanding,” “energetic,” “sound system,” “nominal charge,” and “security guards.” These choices communicate your experience and suggestions clearly, and you attempt some less common vocabulary. However, several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “express my experience,” “every beats,” “keep in our mind,” and “consideration my feedback.” These do not prevent understanding, but they limit precision and naturalness. Aim to learn common combinations as complete phrases, such as “share my feedback,” “bear in mind,” and “the beats created an energetic atmosphere.” Check spelling carefully, too: “cab” appears where “can” is intended.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including the concession “Even though I directly came from work…” and a reason clause with “because.” The main points are generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “which was organized” does not agree with the plural “concerts”; “every beats … create” has errors in number and verb agreement; and “the well-known artist come” needs a singular verb form. There are also problems with articles and sentence construction in “I am huge fan” and “This is extremely hard to manage the crowd.” Work on subject–verb agreement, articles, and forming complete, natural clauses. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentence attempts clearer.
