Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing regarding concerts that organised by the local council in the nearest park without any cost. Thankyou for considering my feedback that will help the organisation to improve better in coming summer.
One of the concerts which I really enjoyed is Musical band, conducted by Anirudh, who is the most favourite person to me and my colleagues. Since we completed our office work at evening on friday , we attended his free live-misic and enjoyed until midnight. The group of five people performed well and the beats are amazing. Furthermore, food arrangements are prefectly well organized for both Vegetarian and Non-Vegeterian lovers with delicious taste.
However, Personally, I believe that if there are seating arrangements for elder people and new- born baby parents would be appreciated.Because of the longest time, the two age category people are unable to enjoy the concert and leaving early. Apart from this, everything was perfectly organized.
All the best,
Vijaya

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you identify the concert as a performance by Anirudh’s band, explain that you enjoyed the music and food, and suggest seating for older people and parents with newborns. These details make the letter relevant and give the council useful feedback. The enjoyment is supported with specific information, such as the five performers and the food arrangements. However, the improvement suggestion is less fully developed: explain what seating would be provided and where, or add another practical suggestion. The opening also refers generally to the concerts rather than immediately naming the one you attended. More balanced development of each point would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: an opening, a paragraph about the concert, a paragraph of suggestions, and a closing. Connectors such as “Furthermore” and “Apart from this” help show how the ideas relate, and the reader can follow the main message. Some linking is less smooth or precise, however. “Because of the longest time” does not clearly express the reason people left early, and the transition from the enjoyment paragraph to “However” could be made more natural. The opening also combines the purpose and thanks in a way that feels abrupt. Use clearer links between cause and result, and ensure each paragraph develops one main purpose consistently.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “seating arrangements,” “performed,” “delicious,” and “elder people,” and the reader can understand the main points. There are also attempts to use more specific expressions, such as “live music” and “Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian.” However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “misic,” “prefectly,” and “new-born baby parents” are inaccurate or unnatural, while “the beats are amazing” is informal for feedback to a council. Some phrases, including “improve better” and “most favourite,” are redundant. Choose more natural collocations and check spelling and word forms; this would make the letter clearer and more appropriately formal.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “One of the concerts which I really enjoyed…” and a conditional suggestion beginning “if there are seating arrangements…”. The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “concerts that organised” needs a passive verb form (“were organised”), and “Since we completed our office work at evening on friday” has problems with tense and sentence construction. The sentence beginning “Because of the longest time” is also incomplete as written. Review verb forms, articles, prepositions, and sentence boundaries, and make sure dependent clauses are attached to complete sentences. Greater accuracy in these areas would strengthen your control of varied structures.
