Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the event as the garba concert on 21 March and explain that you enjoyed the atmosphere, food trucks, people and singer. You also offer a relevant improvement: better rubbish disposal, with bins, signs and possible fines. However, the enjoyment is mostly asserted rather than explained, and the suggestions focus almost entirely on litter rather than other aspects of next summer’s concerts. The letter is also 7 words below the required minimum, so the response is slightly underdeveloped. To strengthen it, explain what made the performance or atmosphere memorable and develop your practical suggestions, for example by describing where extra bins or signs should be placed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable sequence: it introduces the concert, describes your positive impression, then turns to a problem and suggestions. The paragraph break and transitions such as “Secondly” help the reader follow this basic progression. However, “Secondly” does not clearly connect to a first point, and the long opening paragraph combines several ideas in one sentence. The shift from praise to litter management could also be signalled more smoothly. Organise the letter into clear paragraphs for the concert and your reasons for enjoying it, followed by suggestions, and use linking phrases that show the relationship between ideas rather than simply numbering them.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “concert,” “food truck,” “management,” “garbage bags,” “food wrappers” and “bins.” Words such as “mesmerising” also show an attempt to express a strong impression. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the message harder to read, as in “attented,” “percet,” “cleaniness” and “basisc human scence.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “pay more attention on cleanliness” and “the memory of that night.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations; more precise wording would help you describe both the concert experience and the proposed improvements clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to combine ideas using clauses, for example when describing the concert and explaining the litter problem, but the response relies on a limited range of sentence patterns. Several sentences are difficult to follow because clauses run together without clear punctuation: “I am writing to give information about the concerts which our local council organised I have…” and “by looking the overall managment if feels like…”. There are also errors in verb forms and sentence construction, including “people after the end of program no one is following…”. Use shorter, complete sentences and check that each has a clear subject and verb. Practising accurate past-tense descriptions and correctly formed suggestions will improve control.
