Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
I am writing to provide you a feedback regarding last summer's concerts. in which I took part.
I have attended one live music concert, which was organized in the residential park. This concert was held by an eminent singer Kinjal Dave.
By attending this concert, I got an opportunity to spend time with my friends. Moreover, singer sang cultural songs, on which we did folk dance. I like this event due to live performance of a singer. In order to make a memorable movement of my life, I have captured distint types of pictures with my freinds.
I would appreciate it, If you could consider my feedback request about certain amenities. I have participated this event from the middle session due to more vehicle congestion. It wasted a major time to find a parking spot. I would like to make more alterations in the security facilty. I have observed ony video camera. Hence, I would insist you to assigne security person along with camera.
I look forward to hearing from you back.
Your Faithfully,
Vishakha Chavda.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you identify the concert as a live performance by Kinjal Dave, explain that you enjoyed sharing it with friends and dancing to cultural songs, and suggest improvements to parking and security. These details make the letter relevant and give the council usable feedback. However, some points are less fully developed than others. The enjoyment section gives several reasons but could explain more clearly what made the performance especially enjoyable. Your suggestions are specific, particularly the request for a security person, but the parking issue would be stronger with a practical proposal, such as better traffic management or additional parking arrangements. A more formal, consistent greeting and closing would also suit the council audience better.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it introduces its purpose, describes the concert, explains your enjoyment, and then presents suggestions. Paragraphing helps the reader distinguish these stages, and connectors such as “Moreover,” “Hence,” and “I look forward to” show an effort to link ideas. This meets the expected level of organisation, with some features of stronger progression. At times, however, links feel mechanical or the relationship between ideas is not fully clear. For example, “I would appreciate it, If you could consider my feedback request about certain amenities” is an indirect transition into the problems. A clearer topic sentence such as “I have two suggestions for next summer” would guide the reader more naturally through the final paragraph.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the concert experience and your recommendations, including “cultural songs,” “folk dance,” “vehicle congestion,” and “security.” There are also attempts at more formal wording, such as “I would appreciate it” and “I would insist.” However, several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors reduce naturalness and precision. “Feedback request” is awkward in this context, “memorable movement” does not express the intended meaning, and “distint” and “freinds” are misspelled. “Eminent singer” also sounds less natural than a simpler description of the performer. Aim for accurate, conventional phrases and check spelling; this will make your message clearer without requiring more elaborate vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “one live music concert, which was organized…” and a reason clause beginning “due to.” The main message remains understandable, and the paragraphs contain some grammatical control. Some errors nevertheless appear in verb forms, articles, sentence boundaries, and punctuation. For example, “I have attended” would normally be “I attended” for a completed concert last summer, while “singer sang” needs an article or possessive determiner. The opening fragment beginning “in which I took part” should be joined to the preceding sentence, and the comma and capitalisation in “If” are incorrect. Review past-tense narration and sentence boundaries, then proofread punctuation and article use.
