Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the main points by identifying a singing concert, explaining that you enjoyed the music and free entry, and suggesting seating for older attendees. These details are relevant, but the feedback is only partially developed: for example, you do not say when the concert took place or describe what made the performance itself enjoyable beyond liking music. The improvement suggestion is useful, though it would be stronger with another practical idea, such as providing more chairs or shaded areas. The letter is also one word below the required minimum, so it needs a little more development. Include a clear closing and ensure the letter fully meets the requested format.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The ideas are presented in a generally understandable order: you introduce the concert, explain your enjoyment, and then describe a problem and suggest a solution. However, the response is written as one long block, so the shift from positive feedback to criticism is not clearly signposted. Some links are awkward or repetitive, such as “However, the thing that” and the repeated use of “so.” Separate the letter into short paragraphs and use clearer transitions, for example, “I particularly enjoyed…” followed by “One area for improvement is…”. This would make the progression easier to follow and reduce the impression of ideas being joined together mechanically.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the main message, including “free concert,” “hectic schedule,” and “senior citizens.” However, the range is limited, and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less natural. For instance, “more watchable” does not clearly express the benefit of free entry, and “enjoyed alots” is not a natural phrase. “Singing concert” could be replaced with a more precise description of the event, such as a live vocal performance. Aim to use accurate phrases for describing atmosphere, performers, and facilities, and check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response relies mainly on simple sentences, with a few attempts to connect ideas using “because,” “that,” and “so.” These attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “I and my friends joined,” “music that make me,” and “I don't liked”; these show problems with word order, subject–verb agreement, and verb forms. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “singing concert was amazing” and the long opening sentence. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check that verbs agree with their subjects and that past-tense forms are consistent when describing the concert.
