Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both questions and maintains a relevant focus: it identifies cultural and language learning and greater confidence for employees, then discusses ideas, company reputation, and staff loyalty as benefits to employers. The examples about Indian workers in Canada and employees sharing information help illustrate the points. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the link between working abroad and becoming “more confident” or “sharp-minded” is not developed, and the company example about sending “every details” is unclear as support for loyalty. Explain the practical effects more precisely—for example, how overseas experience improves employees’ skills or helps a company enter a new market—and extend the examples to show those effects.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall arrangement, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for employee and company benefits, and a conclusion that summarises both sides. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. This coherent structure is a strength. Some linking and referencing, however, feels mechanical or unclear: “Despite the employees benefits” does not express a contrast, and “they” in “companies who send their worker… they create deep relationship” has an awkward reference. The conclusion also repeats the main points without adding a clear synthesis. Use transitions that show the actual relationship between ideas, and connect each example directly to the claim it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response uses enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate its main points, including “international culture,” “independent,” “loyal,” and “relationship.” It also attempts more formal expressions such as “primary benefits” and “significant merit.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, which limits precision: “foreign companies” may not mean companies operating internationally, “doing work” is unnatural here, and “latest ideas” is vague. There are also spelling errors, including “discuse,” “loyality,” and “comapnies.” Build a more accurate range of collocations for this topic, such as “gain cross-cultural experience,” “transfer expertise,” and “strengthen business relationships,” and proofread spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay attempts both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as” and “who,” and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “This development give” instead of “gives,” “employees to spend time in other country,” and “companies who send their worker… they create.” The final sentence also has faulty parallel structure: “learning other culture and become more confident.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas less clear. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, singular and plural forms, and article use, then revise complex sentences to ensure each clause has a clear subject and verb.
