Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which severely impacts the ability to fully develop the ideas requested. While the essay touches upon the benefits for employees, it fails to address the second part of the prompt regarding the advantages for companies. The ideas presented are very limited and lack the necessary depth or supporting evidence required for a higher band score. To improve, you must ensure you address all parts of the prompt and provide a comprehensive, well-developed argument that meets the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response is too short to demonstrate effective paragraphing or a clear logical progression. While there is a basic attempt to link ideas using phrases like 'Along with that' and 'As a result', the overall structure is underdeveloped. The lack of a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion makes it difficult to follow a coherent argument. To improve, focus on organizing your response into distinct paragraphs, each with a clear topic sentence and supporting details, and use a wider variety of cohesive devices to connect your ideas more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision expected for higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'wonderfull', 'thier' (repeatedly), and 'candians'. The word choice is somewhat repetitive, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic language. To improve, focus on correcting basic spelling mistakes and expanding your vocabulary by learning synonyms and collocations relevant to professional and international business contexts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that detract from the clarity of the writing. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'interactions improves'), missing articles, and consistent spelling errors. The punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and proofreading your work to eliminate simple errors in spelling and grammar before submitting.
