Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: benefits for employees and advantages for companies. The ideas are relevant and clear, though the development is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the points about 'new technologies' and 'different environments' are mentioned in both the introduction and the body paragraphs without significant expansion. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more distinct, nuanced examples. While the position is clear, the supporting arguments could be more varied to demonstrate a deeper understanding of the topic. Overall, the response covers all requirements of the task effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two main ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'For example', 'As a result', and 'In conclusion' are used to link ideas, although some transitions feel a bit mechanical. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the referencing is occasionally repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'employee' and 'company' at the start of sentences. Improving the variety of cohesive links would enhance the flow and coherence of the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the message to be conveyed clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'skill set', 'international exposure', and 'critical thinking'. However, there is a reliance on basic vocabulary, and some collocations are slightly unnatural, such as 'working in abroad' (should be 'working abroad') and 'grab more business' (which is informal). To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms and idiomatic expressions. The range is sufficient to communicate your points, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are recurring grammatical errors. For example, 'in the international companies' (should be 'in international companies'), 'a employee' (should be 'an employee'), and 'in different country' (should be 'in a different country'). Punctuation is generally correct, though there is an unnecessary space before the comma in 'In conclusion ,'. The majority of sentences are understandable, but the frequency of minor errors in articles and prepositions prevents the writing from reaching a higher band.
