Student answer (Band 6.0)

Exchange staff program with other foreign organisations create new skills and reform new policies that increase the revenue of companies and give wonderful experience to employees culturally , socially , physically and mentally. This eassy will explains both aspects regarding staff and companies get numerous benefits from this exchange program.

On the one hand, they learn and adapt new skills by interacting people in office or workplace where they make strategies together that they have already learned from their past experiences, however, this time new innovations created by them they directly and in-directly increase the confidence, capability generate initiation and make them motivated so they can create good work- life balance. for example, in Punjabi, there is a hospital where this type of program is still continue as the nurses are still send to one of the hospital of Canada and vice- versa. This opportunity improves the gap of knowledge and keep them updated with the new theoretical and practical knowledge of Nurses.

On the other hand, better learning significantly increases the better services and product quality with the fulfillment of goals sets by the company. In addition, staff lean different technological updates from foreign colleagues and learn the way of dealing with costumers and same thing will apply in their own company and make the profit double. For instance, Nurses learn effective way of dealing with patients and learn the new techniques of giving care such as inserting cannula under scanning of light which reduces the risk of multiple application that creates intense pain to client.

In conclusion, I would like to emphasis that the staff and companies both get benefits collaboratively, if staff will get new skills by working with international people definitely grow the firm at upper level in form of quality, profit and development.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: benefits for employees and advantages for companies. The ideas are relevant, such as skill acquisition for staff and increased quality/profit for companies. However, the development is somewhat superficial. The example regarding nurses in Punjab and Canada is specific, but the explanation of how this translates to broader company benefits is slightly repetitive. To reach a higher band, you should ensure that each point is fully extended with clear logical links rather than relying on lists of benefits. The position is clear throughout, but the overall depth of analysis could be improved to better meet the requirements of a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. You use basic cohesive devices like 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to signal shifts in the text. However, the internal cohesion within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical or slightly disjointed. For instance, the transition between the general idea and the specific example in the second paragraph is a bit abrupt. Additionally, some sentences are long and run-on, which makes the logical flow feel slightly cluttered. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'innovations', 'theoretical', and 'collaboratively'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'reform new policies' (instead of 'develop' or 'implement'), 'generate initiation', and 'multiple application'. These errors occasionally make the text feel unnatural. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of precision in word choice limits the score. To improve, focus on learning collocations—words that naturally go together—rather than just individual synonyms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('Exchange staff program... create', 'nurses are still send'), missing articles, and punctuation errors (e.g., 'for example, in Punjabi...'). Some sentences are grammatically complex but contain errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. While you attempt to use complex structures, the control over them is inconsistent. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve your accuracy.
