Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: benefits for employees and advantages for companies. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the point about 'trip planning' is a personal benefit rather than a professional one, which limits the depth of the argument regarding career development. The explanation of how companies benefit from 'fame' is also slightly repetitive and lacks a clear business rationale. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific, professional examples, such as skill transfer, cross-cultural management, or increased employee retention, rather than focusing on travel opportunities.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'To start with', 'Furthermore', and 'Moreover'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'To extant ahead' or 'To recapitulate'. Additionally, some sentences lack smooth transitions, making the flow feel a bit disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the relationship between sentences is more natural and less formulaic.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect collocations, such as 'In these modern technological era' (should be 'this'), 'co-workers' (often used incorrectly for 'employees'), and 'get fame for company'. The range of vocabulary is limited, and there is a reliance on basic terms. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations related to international business and professional development, and pay closer attention to word forms and pluralization.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many employees wants'), article usage (e.g., 'in one particular country'), and prepositional errors (e.g., 'over their' instead of 'there'). While the meaning is generally understandable, these recurring errors prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency, and practice using more complex sentence structures with greater accuracy.
