Working in a good or bad atmosphere affects the employee's efficiency of work significantly, isn't it? In this contemporary era, many big companies offer their employees to work from home or they can either work in another country. Apparently, there are plenty of benefits of doing this, not only for companies but for employees as well.

Firstly, One such big benefit for the companies is better results from the workers. In other words, if their employees get some time to live and work remotely from other country, the employee's mind would stay fresh and can work better. Workers would not only work but can explore a new country also. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: benefits for employees and advantages for companies. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding company expenditure is slightly illogical, as sending staff abroad usually incurs significant travel and accommodation costs, which the essay fails to reconcile with the claim of saving money. While the position is clear, the supporting examples, such as the Reuters survey, lack sufficient detail or logical depth to fully convince the reader. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced explanations that connect the benefits to the specific business context.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. Cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, the use of some cohesive links is occasionally mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'In other words, if their employees get some time to live and work remotely from other country'. Additionally, referencing is sometimes imprecise, which slightly disrupts the flow of ideas. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate, and there is a clear progression of ideas throughout the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are some attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'contemporary era' and 'expenditure'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors in collocation, such as 'efficiency of work' instead of 'work efficiency' and 'a good opportunities' (grammatical error affecting lexical accuracy). The range is sufficient to discuss the topic, but it lacks the precision and sophistication required for a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('from other country'), subject-verb agreement ('an individual enjoy'), and pluralization ('a good opportunities'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the opening rhetorical question is slightly informal for an IELTS task. The errors are noticeable but do not significantly impede communication. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage, and aim for more varied complex sentence structures.
