In today's contemporary era, it is noticed that many large MNCs are sending their employees to work overseas for a period of time. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both the benefits for employees and the advantages for companies. The ideas are relevant and supported with examples, such as the mention of multinational corporations like Google and Amazon. The position is clear throughout the essay. To reach a higher band, the development of ideas could be more nuanced; for instance, the explanation of how international experience leads to 'critical thinking' could be expanded with more specific detail rather than just listing skills. Overall, the response is well-focused and meets the requirements of the task effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow. Cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'To sum up' are used appropriately to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the use of referencing could be more varied to improve the flow. Paragraphing is used sufficiently, and the overall structure supports the development of the argument well.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task. The student uses some topic-specific terms like 'international exposure', 'career progression', and 'lucrative benefits'. There are some minor errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'orinted' instead of 'oriented' and 'profitiable' instead of 'profitable'. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey meaning clearly, it lacks the sophistication and precision required for higher bands. Expanding the use of collocations and more precise academic vocabulary would enhance the quality of the writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There is generally good control over grammar, and the meaning is clear throughout. However, there are some minor errors, such as 'companies are the one who get' (should be 'the ones') and 'a prominent aspect in their resume' (should be 'on their resume'). Punctuation is generally accurate, though there are occasional slips. The variety of structures is sufficient for the task, but more complex sentence forms could be used with greater accuracy to achieve a higher score.
