Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is not uncommon for the big corporations to allow their employees to live and work in a different country for a specific period of time during their employment. This opportunity helps the staff members to explore the world and different cultures and cuisines. Not only this, companies can also improve their overall performance by doing so.
This opportunity has a positive effect on the employees. When workers move to different countries they get a chance to explore new cultures, languages, cuisines and people which helps to widen their perspectives and overall worldview, ultimately leading to positive cognitive development as well as improvement in their critical problem solving skills. For Instance, the MADS company of USA showed the statistical data obtained from the last years survey that workers who were sent to different country for work purpose developed better understanding of different cultures and languages than workers staying in the same country.
This phenomenon is advantageous to the companies as well.Working in different countries makes it easier for the staff members to learn different languages.Undoubtedly, this helps to attract the customers from different parts of the world and improving the overall productivity of the company. Moreover, employees coming from different offices provides suitable ideas and feedbacks with which the companies can improve their performance and overall effeciency.
To conclude, migration of the staff members for work to different companies is beneficial for both the employees as they gain more experience and knowledge as well as employers as they improve different skills of their workers which eventually brings profit to the company.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by explaining why the opportunity is beneficial for both employees and companies. The position is clear throughout the text, and relevant ideas are presented. For employees, the writer mentions cultural exploration and cognitive development, supported by an example about a company named MADS. For companies, advantages such as customer attraction and improved efficiency are discussed. However, some ideas remain slightly under-developed; for instance, the example provided lacks specific real-world detail, reading somewhat like a fabricated statistic. While all prompt requirements are met, deeper extension of the arguments would be needed to reach a higher band. Overall, the task is adequately fulfilled, and the response fits comfortably within the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs addressing each prompt question, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate ideas. Cohesive devices are employed to connect sentences, such as 'Not only this,' 'Moreover,' and 'To conclude,' though some referencing is a bit mechanical. There are also occasional punctuation spacing issues between sentences, such as missing spaces after periods (e.g., 'problem solving skills. For Instance,'). Despite these minor mechanical flaws in cohesion, the logical flow from one paragraph to the next is generally clear and easy to follow, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptor for logical progression and paragraphing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, demonstrating an attempt to incorporate less common items and topic-specific vocabulary such as 'perspectives,' 'cognitive development,' 'phenomenon,' and 'efficiency.' However, there are some minor word choice and spelling inaccuracies, such as 'effeciency' instead of 'efficiency' and awkward phrasing like 'migration of the staff members for work to different companies.' While the range is sufficient to communicate the main points clearly, these occasional lexical errors and less-than-natural collocations prevent the score from reaching a Band 7. The vocabulary functions adequately to convey meaning without impeding the reader's understanding.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and introductory subordinate structures (e.g., 'When workers move to different countries they get a chance...'). There are several grammatical errors and punctuation issues present throughout the text, including missing commas after introductory clauses and minor spelling/spacing anomalies like 'For Instance, the MADS company of USA' (missing article). However, these errors rarely impede communication, and the meaning of the sentences remains clear. The grammatical control reflects a mixed command of simple and complex structures, which is characteristic of Band 6 performance.
