Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this contemporary era, everybody is exploring for new opportunities in terms of job, out of which many masess work while visiting to office everyday and rest of them get the chance to fly to different countries to explore and expand the bussiness. This change can bring alot of changes in individaul's life as well as in bussiness, which will be discussed in upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, work abroad means getting handsome paycheques and option to know the different cultures and lifestyles. It can refresh the person's mind and stable his mental health, while working under the same roof and looking at the same faces everyday is kind of stressful task. Additionally, it builds an individual to be self dependent and do everything by his own. For eg: Mr Ratan Tata from India used to be very shy person and always preffered to be depend on someone, one day he got an meeting regarding of business outside of his own nation and everybody was worried that its not going to end well, but when he look around and saw he is alone, which bring up his self confidient and he rocked the deal.

On the other side, it is also very effective for companies, there bussiness will be expanded for the long term period and people from the different territorries will work for them, which are already familiar with that area and help the company to grow better.

To conclude this, it is agreed that giving the opportunity to employees to explore the different countries is the great option for both company and individual and it will help to build the connections and take the company on upper level, as well as to learn the different culture and tones for worker.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the benefits for employees, such as financial rewards and cultural exposure, and the advantages for companies, including business expansion and localized knowledge. The position is clear throughout the text. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies on a very brief narrative example regarding Mr. Ratan Tata, which lacks detailed elaboration. While the main prompts are adequately covered, the supporting arguments would benefit from greater depth and extension to reach a higher band. Overall, the task is addressed in a relevant manner, aligning with the requirements for a Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at paragraphing, introducing an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or faulty, such as 'On the other side,' instead of a more appropriate contrast marker like 'On the other hand.' Referencing and linking between sentences can be slightly repetitive or unclear, as seen in the transition from personal benefits to company advantages. Paragraphing is present, but the logical progression between ideas within the paragraphs occasionally feels disjointed. These features place the writing securely at a Band 6.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'contemporary era' and 'territories.' However, there are noticeable lexical errors, awkward word choices, and spelling mistakes throughout the text, such as 'exploring for new opportunities' (searching for), 'masess' (masses), 'bussiness' (business), 'paycheques,' and 'self confidient' (self-confident). These errors reflect a mix of accurate and inaccurate usage that slightly impedes communication at times, though the meaning remains generally clear. This performance fits the Band 5.5 descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some capacity to form multi-clause sentences. However, frequent grammatical and punctuation errors are present throughout the essay, including subject-verb agreement issues ('his mental health, while working... is kind of stressful task'), incorrect preposition use ('got an meeting regarding of business'), and run-on structures ('when he look around and saw he is alone, which bring up...'). These errors can cause occasional difficulty for the reader, matching the profile for a Band 5.0.
