Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by explaining why the opportunity is good for employees and what advantages it brings to companies. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive, particularly regarding the acquisition of skills from experts. Furthermore, the response falls slightly short of the minimum word count, containing 248 words instead of the required 250, which restricts the depth of support provided. For instance, the discussion on employee benefits mentions earning a high salary, but the supporting examples are brief. To reach higher bands, ideas need to be more fully extended and supported with richer examples and explanations, alongside meeting the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, dividing the introduction, employee perspective, company perspective, and conclusion effectively. Logical progression is generally maintained through the use of transitional markers such as "To begin with," "Additionally," and "When it comes to the organizations." However, referencing is occasionally repetitive or slightly mechanical, such as the repeated use of "This practice allows them..." in successive paragraphs. Paragraphing is used sufficiently, but overall cohesion could be more naturally integrated rather than relying on formulaic transition words. Therefore, a band 6.0 is appropriate as the organizational structure is clear despite some mechanical elements.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating terms such as "multi-national organizations," "international experience," and "win-win situation." There are some attempts at less common lexical items, but also noticeable word-choice and spelling errors, such as "oranizations" instead of organizations, "aborad" instead of abroad, and "attract more project" instead of projects. While these errors do not impede overall communication, they demonstrate limitations in precision and control. To achieve a higher band, the writer needs to expand their range of less common vocabulary and improve spelling accuracy and collocation control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as "This is because they are working with the experts in the industry" and conditional-style reasoning. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with missing articles (e.g., "Currently number of multi-national..." instead of "Currently, a number of...") and preposition usage (e.g., "working in aboard" instead of "working abroad"). Subject-verb agreement issues also appear, such as "employees get opportunity." While these errors rarely impede overall comprehension, the presence of frequent basic slips prevents the text from achieving a higher score.
