Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response attempts to address all parts of the prompt, discussing both employee benefits such as career advancement and cultural exchange, as well as company advantages like enhanced reputation and the introduction of innovative ideas. However, the ideas remain quite basic and lack sufficient depth and extension. Furthermore, the response suffers from a significant length penalty because it falls short of the minimum 250-word requirement, containing only 218 words. Due to this under-length constraint and the limited development of ideas, the response aligns best with Band 5.5, showing a partial and somewhat restricted treatment of the task prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
Paragraphing is attempted, but the structural flow is hindered by erratic capitalization, punctuation issues, and a lack of proper transition phrases. For instance, sentences begin with lowercase letters and run-on structures are frequent, such as 'on the one hand ,It brings career advancement.' While there is an overall attempt to separate employee and company advantages, the mechanical and faulty use of cohesive devices creates choppy progression. Referencing and logical sequencing are weak, pulling the score into the Band 5 range, where ideas are discernible but organizational clarity is impaired.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for discussing general work concepts. The writer uses basic vocabulary like 'great opportunity', 'new ideas', and 'better degree', along with attempts at less common items such as 'myriad advantages', 'eminent', and 'technological advancement'. However, noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and form occur frequently, including 'life settelement', 'thier', and awkward phrasing like 'broadens horizon of future'. These errors do not entirely impede communication, but they restrict the vocabulary score to Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response features a very limited range of grammatical structures, heavily relying on simple and poorly formed complex sentences. Punctuation and capitalization are severely neglected throughout the text, with numerous sentences starting without capital letters or incorrectly linked using commas and semicolons. Frequent errors in verb forms, articles, and agreement—such as 'company is become eminent' and 'giving opportunity from company to their staffs living'—cause difficulty for the reader and demonstrate weak control over basic and complex sentence forms, placing the writing firmly at Band 5.0.
