Student answer (Band 5.5)

It has been sparked in last couple of decades that many international organizations provide their staff the opportunities to live abroad and work in different counties for a certain time. Such schemes can benefit both, the employees as well as the companies. In this essay the core facts about these initiatives will be discussed with their advantages for both perspectives.

As per employees perspective, these are the opportunities for them to explore the world, understand numerious cultures, different people behaviours and the the advancement in technologies, in multiple developed countries. As the human nature, everyone likes tourism and want to explore the world, so such kind of opportunities provide an employee to chance to fullfil his desires. This evolves new ideas, makes the employee sharp and he performs better to his work.

Semilarly, there are significant huge advantages for the companies, as these devopments provide them new scopes and business ideas. The employees who are living in another country works as a delegate and represents the copmany to other country and nations. The organizations get benefits in two ways, the first one is that the employee performs better in his responsibilities and brings new business ideas, which grow the company value. In conclusion, it is ultimately profitable to both, the companies and employees, by providing different opportunities of business and motivating the employees to have more focus and enjoy the work. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task, examining both why the opportunity is good for employees and what advantages it brings to companies. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed. For example, the student explains how living abroad helps employees explore cultures and evolve new ideas, while also detailing how employees act as company delegates to promote products globally. However, the development of ideas tends to be a bit repetitive, and some supporting points rely on sweeping generalizations, such as 'As the human nature, everyone likes tourism'. These minor limitations place the response comfortably within the Band 6 descriptor range, as all parts are addressed with relevant, albeit somewhat under-developed, ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the response into an introduction, body paragraphs addressing each prompt part, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate ideas. However, cohesion is at times faulty and mechanical. For instance, transitional phrases like 'As per employees perspective' and 'Semilarly' are inaccurate or awkwardly phrased, and referencing is occasionally unclear (e.g., 'these devopments provide them new scopes'). Furthermore, cohesive devices are sometimes overused or repetitive. These features align with the Band 6 descriptor, where cohesion can be faulty or mechanical and referencing not always clear.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task and attempts less common items such as 'delegate', 'initiatives', and 'profitable'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'numerious', 'behaviours', 'Semilarly', 'devopments', and 'copmany'. Some collocations are also unnatural, such as 'performs better to his work' instead of 'performs better at his work'. While these lexical errors occur frequently, they do not impede communication, matching the Band 6 descriptor where an adequate range is used with some inaccuracy and spelling errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some ambition in sentence structures (e.g., 'The employees who are living in another country works as a delegate...'). However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in subject-verb agreement ('the employee... works', 'he always looked smart performs'), article usage, and prepositional phrases ('in previous company'). Punctuation is also occasionally problematic, such as comma splices or missing punctuation in complex clauses. Because the errors occur frequently alongside a mix of simple and complex structures, but do not prevent the reader from understanding the overall meaning, a band score of 5.0 is appropriate here.
