Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both why the opportunity is beneficial for employees and the advantages it brings to companies. The student attempts to extend ideas, such as mentioning financial savings and currency exchange benefits for workers, as well as economic growth and business expansion for companies. However, some ideas are under-developed or drift into slightly tangential points, such as discussing government oil shortages in the example about Tesla. The position is generally clear throughout, but the depth of development aligns best with a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion. Paragraphing is used to separate ideas into logical blocks for employees and companies. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty and mechanical, such as the awkward transition 'While, One of main advantage'. Referencing is not always clear, and the logical progression within paragraphs could be smoother. These features reflect Band 6 characteristics.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common phrases like 'luxurious lifestyle', 'economic growth', and 'unemployment rate'. However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice and collocations, such as 'save a money', 'fulfill their basic needs in the own country', and 'government also prompts them'. Spelling errors like 'internationl' and 'planing' also occur. These errors do not impede communication, placing the response solidly at Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'First and Foremost is that it helps them to save a money because large companies pay their expenses...'. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with missing articles ('person who work', 'get a salary in rupees'), incorrect prepositions, and verb tense inconsistencies. While these errors rarely completely impede communication, they hinder the flow and indicate a lack of consistent control, fitting the Band 5.5 descriptor well.
